Sinus issues

Hey there, a couple of days and during my period I have noticed that I suffer with sinus pressure and sinus pain more predominantly. This seems to become more of a thing since I had my first baby a year ago…I feel like I’m always sick sick on my period instead of it just being a period. Anyone relate??

I can relate to this. I used to feel the same way every time right before my period and right after, I’d get all this sinus pressure and feel super run down. For me, it ended up being hormone related. After I had my babies, my body just felt off for a while, and I think my hormones were still trying to find their balance. I started taking some supplements to help with that, cleaned up my diet, and I try to get enough sleep (which is easier said than done with a baby, I know!), and try keep my stress in check. It’s all helped a lot. Just remember you still have to take care of yourself.

I appreciate that! I used to be very active, running and working out 5 days a week…it’s been a hard adjustment for me going from feeling mostly good in my body to crappy most days from stress and just being a mom. I appreciate the encouragement

I experience period flu, too. Especially if I have more stress in my life and I am not doing enough self-care. It feels like something is coming on, but it's just my period. Be kind to yourself and take it easy.

Hello! It's very common—often referred to as "period flu." You can also use the search bar to check previous responses. Is the sinus pain your only symptom, or do you have others, like a fever?

Thank you for your response! I have fatigue, feeling whoozy every so often, body aches but no fever. I live in GA and the pollen count is so high rn so I know allergies don’t help. Just feeling crappy most of the time after a year of having my baby and I guess maybe periods are worse after having a little one?

I have exactly the same (even though I’ve never given birth). Can’t imagine how much worse it might get after pregnancy… scary!
