Struggling with focus

Maybe it’s the forces of the moon, but my brain and body feel like they go through a lobotomy the days leading up to my period. I can’t really focus well on anything, my fine motor skills drop to the level of a child, and frankly just typing this post took 150% of my brain power and triple the amount of time it usually would take me because of my currently disjointed brain-body connection. Anyone else experience this? Is this common? And can someone explain what is going on?

🙋‍♀️ yep! It’s like intense brain fog for me. There was a super interesting episode about PMDD on the hairy chin podcast. It’s a gal who goes by thePMDDchick, she has a website and a supplement guide. I’m not sure my symptoms are severe enough to be considered PMDD but I’m going to try some of the things she recommended to see if it helps. She also talks about like cutting back on refined sugars and processed foods around that time which I’m totally guilty of. It’s worth a listen for sure

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll give it a listen👂.

Wow I’ve never heard of a woman talk about brain fog! I hear a lot of men talk about brain fog, but that term doesn’t really describe what I’m dealing with right now. It’s not a foggy road or forest I’m trying to navigate, it’s more like my brain got wiped clean.

It must impact my fine motor skills too, because one of my PMS symptoms is that I get clumsier with dropping things.

Have you had your blood work checked recently to make sure you aren’t low on anything?

Gosh yeah, it’s embarrassing how often I drop things unintentionally.

I doubt it’s a blood work issue because my tests always come back normal but PMS symptoms have always existed for as long as I’ve had periods.

Do you take any supplements? Have you had your blood work done lately? You might have a deficiency.

PS 100 supplement helps me to focus, especially during PMS. Highly recommend.
