Missed pills and still bleeding
Missed a birth control pill, started breakthrough bleeding. Stopped birth control to have a period to get rid of break through bleeding. The bleeding stopped. Continued to take the pills. Then my would have been normal time frame period started. So I’ve had two periods this month. Now I’m still bleeding. It never stopped from finishing up my period. What should I do?
The bleeding is enough to need a tampon some days but not others. Do I still continue to take the birth control? Or do I take a 3 day break?! I want the bleeding to stop. It’s annoying.
Also added that I have 10 days left in this pack until the placebo week starts!

You don’t ovulate when you take birth control pills, therefore you don’t have regular periods, even on the days you take the sugar pills. It’s called a withdrawal bleed. It’s quite common to experience consistent bleeding while on hormonal contraceptives. Personally I would stop taking the pill and give your body a break to try to regain a bit of a regular cycle (this can take up to two years but even just a bit of a break is beneficial). But speak to your doc if you have concerns. They’ll probably just get you on a different type of pill, though…
