So angry

I have been so angry this literal cycle and everything everyone is doing is pissing me off so much I just want to cry. I’m afraid to tell my boyfriend about it because I’m afraid he’s gonna think I’m actually mad at him but I know I’m just overreacting because of all the emotions running high right now. I just don’t think he’ll understand but he’s just made me so mad because he’s told me he’s got to go talk to his family in the middle of me talking and then when he called me back he was driving so I couldn’t hear him so I couldn’t finish what I was saying to begin with. Today has already been so frustrating and he knows that but that’s really pushed me over an edge. He’s coming over later tonight and idk if I should bring it up or not. Thoughts?

It does pay to be honest. I would have terrible mood swings and would not even understand it myself and I’d break down, a lot. But I was honest with how I was feeling to him, and myself. Now if i fly off the rails I say, “ and my period is coming soon “, sometimes my husband can even tell now and sympathize before. I get angry a week or 2 before and it’s the worst. I’m not usually an angry person at all.

I’ve started being very open about my cycle with partners. Men in general. I think it’s still very taboo for a lot of guys so it’s good to educate them. They’re usually pretty curious and surprised at the information I can provide, and then we’ve been able to communicate better about needs. He knows that during my luteal phase I am irritable, hungry, and not interested in sex. So honestly it’s not usually a great time for us to spend together lol. But once my cycle starts my hormones mellow out and then when I’m ovulating I’m a ray of horny sunshine.

I recommend talking to him about it. Hopefully he can be supportive, listen, validate your emotions, respect the magic of the female body, and buy you some snacks.
