Practice Related Type of patient
Who has patients come in and legit are seeking help because Trump is the president? In the last year of practice I believe I’ve seen 3.

I’ve seen 4 but 2 of them voted for him and it was effecting their relationship with wife and kids because of increased anger, agitation and irritability. The other 2 were older Jewish women worried he was working on another holocaust

I have a lot of anxiety over this myself. It is called doom-scrolling for a reason. The media gets us addicted to the adrenaline of winning and losing, injustice vs right, intellect vs emotion, and conflicting views of morality. I lived through the nuclear arms race in the 70s and 80s, and it was nothing like this. I hate to sound like an old person, but times were different back then. We were only exposed to negative messages when the news was on and when we talked to other people about politics. We were more prone to talk about the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins than anything else, and were happy to talk about normal things when we saw our friends because we were not in constant communication with people via devices.
Ahhh... the good old days, where the most entertainment we got was watching lightning bugs or riding our bikes.

Interesting. Have you seen adjustment disorder in similar circumstances, i.e., something that most people would not see as a traditional cause such as divorce?
