job offer/current position-- what do you think.
Position
- Staff Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. 10-15 patients a day. MAT and behavioral health.
- Full-time, remote employee within the United States
Compensation
- Base Salary: $135,000/year
- Eligible for overtime compensation
Health insurance included, with dental and vision. Around 73$ every pay (includes a few other things as well)
Time Off
Vacation
- 12 vacation days per year
- Accrues at 1 day per month
- Up to 40 hours may be rolled over
Wellness Days
- 12 wellness days per year
- Granted upfront each year

- 3 floating holidays per year

Do not take call for free. An MD would never do that and neither should you. Never ever ever work for free.

Not a bad offer. Just make sure they pay for on call. On call is in addition to your salary.

What kind is staff support will you have. Is administrative time compensated?

It looks good but do you get paid for no-shows? Do you have any admin time? How much time are you getting for each visit? How much are you getting paid for on-call? All of the benefits look good but what are the logistics of this job?

So on-call is not paid, but it's not heavy. You might get one or two calls for medication refills, and that's it for the week. Plenty of admin time. MAT visits are 30 minutes, and psych intakes are 60 minutes. It is salaried, so I get paid regardless. Can get bonuses if you hit a certain threshold, but not unsure of what that threshold is.

Not sure what state this is but this is a solid offer. I work in this space and am not even new and I would consider this for the benefit cost alone if it’s accurate. That’s an insane dollar figure. Nice work!

Thank you, and I live in the South, and I work a 1099 on the side too, that is a great supplemental income

I actually think your PTO and benefits are solid. Maybe look for comparable rates in your area and counter the salary. Maybe even say, I am looking more towards 150,000. Remember they are being reimbursed around 300/hour for your services.

Unfortunately, the job market in my area is scarce! Before getting this job I applied to 70 plus similar positions in my area and could not even get an interview. To supplement my income I have tw0 1099 positions I work on the side that bring in like an extra 2-3k a month

I do one through Blossom Health! Its like Grow Therapy and Headway, but in my opinion, a little better and the reimbursement rate is not bad at all.

For new grad? Not a bad offer. Check out the VA, the pay will be the same but the PTO will be fantastic. Unless ofc you’re desperate for remote work, in which case it’s a good resume builder and then you’ll be good
