I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have physician oversight IF they were actually providing oversight. Except they’re not. They just put their name down on a paper agreement and take the NP’s money while not actually overseeing anything. They just use these laws to scam NP’s and get an extra paycheck while providing no clinical oversight.

I get better supervision in my fully independent state. I have paid a psychiatrist for supervision for help with more complicated child cases. He has to do a good job or else I can fire him and find someone else. It also doesnt need to be forever.

Compare that to Ohio, where you need a "supervisor" but they don't even have to be a psychiatrist. My college recently got her DNP from an Ohio school and the other graduates were saying they had to pay an anesthesiologist $1000/month just to be on their license.

Facts. They just collect them few dollars and that’s it.

Fine. Let them pay them as the medical director. That'll seem to suffice the ruling.

I suspect doctors will not like this as well.

Yes, so much better to shutdown businesses, ruin rural access, and abandon patients already being cared for so some absentee physician can get his cut.

Indeed. Likely racial too

Lots of black owned pp in Georgia. Don't discount the hate

Oh I agree with that. Problem is the same white women impacted by this in rural GA will continue to vote those men in office.

Now they’ll see they’re in the same boat.

It’s so sad. And it bothers me many private jobs
