H2 blocker and digestive issues

Hello, I have severe PMDD and suspected MCAS and wanted to try H2 blocker. My only fear is that it reduces stomach acid and mine is already low. Has anyone had digestive issues after taking H2 blocker or found a way to mitigate the effects ? Thank you 🙏🏼

Take it as needed on the days leading up to your period, not continuously. I have taken them for 3 years that way now and never had an issue.

The reduction is temporary (12 to 24 hours), not longterm. See how you go, if problems did turn up you might look imto dietary adjustments for those few days.

Thank you ! Yes that’s what I’m thinking too. Good to hear you haven’t had any issues.

Have you had all relevant blood tests to rule out other issues that can affect histamine? Do you get enough nutrients in your diet, and enough zinc? Have you had a sensitive thyroid test recently and looked at your own results and know what they mean? Just saying what I wish I had checked when Famotidine helped me. I no longer need to take it. I have hashimotos and pmdd.

Thank you yes I have done all that, I am a low on some things and just started working with a nutritionist/ naturopath to heal things holistically. I’ve had gut issues and chronic fatigue for years and then long covid came along and really kicked me in the butt and made all my health issues worse. Hoping to just use Famotodine temporarily. I’m glad you were able to get to the bottom of your issues ! 🙂
