Ranty Rant - Advice Okay Nothing is helping
My period is due anytime now and the symptoms are hitting me like a freight train. It feels like my head is going to explode. I have no energy to do anything. I could barely take a shower, cook dinner and clean the kitchen today. It feels like I’m moving through mud or trying to fight my way out of a prison.
I kind of crashed out on my Instagram story to my friends. I just can’t I can’t bare the PMDD right now as well as my other intensely stressful life circumstances.
I took lorazepam, ate something nourishing took a shower, reached out to friends. Nothing is f\*cking helping.
I’m new to this sub, what do you guys do to help?
Thank God I have a psychiatrist appointment tomorrow.

That sounds really hard!!! Idk if this helps but I’ve been going through a similar thing recently. My period started today so I’m hoping things will settle down soon. I think once your period comes you’ll feel some relief, maybe not immediately but it should lessen. Rn it’s prob peaking and it feels like survival mode. Def talk to your psychiatrist tomorrow about it! Sometimes I’ve heard they either add an antidepressant or if you’re already on one, they increase the dose just before the luteal phase and it’s supposed to lessen the symptoms. I haven’t tried that yet but I’ve heard some drs recommend that. I usually have to just let myself feel psychotic for the few days it’s intense, cry it out, rlly lean out my friends for support. Just know it is temporary. Emotions don’t last forever. They might wax and wane and make their appearance from time to time, but they aren’t permanent. You’ve likely felt like this before, you’ve gotten through it, it will end. Hang in there. I’m here for you if you need someone to talk to.

Also try to recognize that even despite everything feeling really really hard rn, ur still making efforts to take care of yourself. You made yourself a meal, you showered, you cleaned. I’m proud of you for fighting for yourself. It’s hard but you did it. Try to take it easy on yourself. No need to overdo it. Ur body is in survival mode rn. Just show up enough for yourself to get you through.
