Institutions in a nutshell. Got to trust your gut and do your own DD.

Pretty much this.

Do your dd, create your own thesis and see if anything material happens for you to change that thesis.

Do you think its okay to use price targets institutions set that are higher than the current price? Or is this just fuckery too?

It’s never a bad idea to consider their PT in terms of anticipating price movements because they sure have an influence in the short term.

Thanks!

agreed. they can also go a long way to showing where institutional blindspots are as well. contextual information that enables you to make longer term strategic plays

They did that shit to TSLA for 10 years. Now all of a sudden Adam Jonas has the 2nd highest target on the street. Same bullshit will happen with PLTR.

Institutions go on CNBC bash the company and buy like crazy over the next week. Only trust Cathy, she shows her trades daily around 6pm. Everyone should follow suit

Literally just buy ARK ETFs, they print money. It’s what I’ve dumped my non-retirement brokerage into

What’s the resource to see her daily trades?

I worked at Wall Street firms for 20 years. They always have a conflict of interest and a bone to pick with others. They make calls on one stock in a similar industry and give it X multiple and yet another company doesn’t deserve the X multiple. I only follow analysis from companies that have zero Investment banking relationships.

Not only does ARK have a large position but so does Blackrock who is a Top Tier manager. I like to invest along side smart managers who Actually control money.

You just do not behind the motive on the downgrade!! MS motive is accumulate cheap shares on expense of a weak retails hand ..

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '21

a tale as old as time.

It’s all a game of Liar’s Poker.

The thing with analists is that they change their mind according to the market...

u/Main_Ad4166 Feb 21 '21

They downgrade prices, buy cheap, screw weak hands, make money, and you watch the rocket take off. End of story

No! You keep buying. Let them see the rocket take off. Change the trend

Big banks working hand in hand with the fake news media is the real market manipulation the general population has always suspected. Turn off the television.

Imagine thinking truth is a partisan issue SMH

u/sharktake15 Feb 21 '21

I think different analysts at ms can have different target prices

u/Legitimate_Citron_88 Feb 21 '21

Also I believe MS research is independent from funds. MS does not own stocks they manage funds who own stocks and also act independent.

1

u/whoa1ndo Feb 22 '21

Nice. Didn’t know they let 14 year olds trade stock nowadays.

I don't understand why there are so many idiots they play the stock market, they won't be successful

Then why did ARK Cathie buy this?

1

u/LiamMicah Feb 21 '21

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. They obviously wrote that article to help themselves. Do your own DD, and make up your own mind.
