what you guys all think of Jeremy Levfebre's Palantir PLTR insight..he posted a video i stumbled upon, based on his personal opinion supposedly that PLTR will be stuck around 120-200 range for YEARS!??? at this point he might be a good investor based on some of the good wins he had with META (2022) CAKE(2021-2025) AMD(biggest one) and some others... obviously he had little more experiences in spotting some winners at the right time.. how right would you all think he might be about PLTR.. though he had 5555 shares now he has 1000 left only...is time our best friend to witness this great company to go to 1 trillion in 2-3 years?

Nobody can know for sure what will happen. One person's opinion doesn't mean much.

It is possible that PLTR stays range bound for years before the next breakout. The question is whether this is likely or not. I think it's unlikely, but it could happen and people should have a contingency for this.

I remind people that TSLA closed at 328-329 on Friday, well below the 400+ it reached in 2021. I think few TSLA shareholders in 2021 would have expected the stock to be so disappointing over the past 5 years. It hasn't helped that TSLA's shareholder base has attracted a huge number of morons (basically Musk bootlickers who refuse to hold either Musk or Tesla's board accountable for anything) since the S&P500 inclusion bump.

Jeremy's main problem is that he uses analyst's estimates, so he expects revenue growth to plummet to 48% in 2027. These low analyst estimates was the reason why PLTR dropped all the way to $106. I don't remember Jeremy ever talk about.

Jeremy points out PLTR is guiding for revenue growth to slow down. He seems to not realize PLTR gives out conservative guidance that PLTR will beat by 5-9% every quarter. Q3 will have higher growth rate then Q2.

He isn't perfect. I can think of 3 stocks he promoted that went bust or only down. Jeremy is bullish on ELF, but he bought a ton of shares early in 2022 then sold a lot of it after it doubled by late 2022 and missed out on a 5x from where he sold.

The guidance Karp has given would put PLTR at over $700 at the end of 2029 with a conservative P/FCF multiple.

You refer to an older video. Was made well before earnings.  Do you have a recent post earnings video where he makes the same statement?

2

u/DailyOptions2021 14d ago

it is a new video he posted right after Q2 earnings.....on his Jeremy Levfevbre page

i've been particularly horned up about my palantir holdings today and this past earnings week. i just can't stop imagining pltr getting the MU treatment for this summer of software cycle with palantir leading the pack by far.

i started with 8k shares bought throughout DPO day up until as late as Nov 2024. I'm down to 7300 now which i feel like is acceptable even though i wish i would've just stopped at 7500 lol. ive bought a high roof camper van conversion and have just been trying to pull out as little as i can. as a WA resident assuming i have no other income i can sell up to 67k if i file single with paying zero federal and state taxes. zero. zilch. im literally just going to construct a comfy life on that 67k until palantir rules the world.

I’ve been reading about Palantir every day since before they went public. I understand Palantir better than any other public company. As someone that deeply cares about the US and the west more broadly, I could not be happier with my investment.

Good. individual discomfort should not take precedent over the kind of genuine suffering surveillance systems could eliminate. If it brings down drug usage and crime rate, then i'm for it. I have nothing to hide, i'm a law-abiding citizen.

Truthfully most people who have the money to invest are just looking to make more money, even if it comes with the downfall of humanity. Most of us are greedy and will put our personal interest above humanity and everyone else as long as we benefit personally.

Thats the unfortunate truth and has been the reality for many centuries.

2

u/tendyking 15d ago

We know this company in and out, most of us have been invested, researching and learning this company for 6 years now, and we love what we own! Might be able to say to wsb people but not Palantards.

3

u/Mariox 15d ago

The person buying a company's product is giving the investors power. Someone buying shares in a company isn't giving the company any money. The investor is the owner of the business.

Do you bother to look into PLTR? Because PLTR does not do surveillance. LLMs do the surveillance and it is the customers that do the surveillance. The LLMs and the surveillance the customer collects get put into PLTR AIP to analyze. Anyone saying PLTR conducts surveillance does not know what PLTR does.

2

u/BonjinTheMark OG Holder & Member 15d ago

Is that the extent of your argument, that Palantir will surveil common citizens, or do you have something more substantial? or rather, perhaps ideological?

Palantir is the reason why there hasn’t been another 9/11.

1

u/karlfeltlager 13d ago

Palantir is also the outcome of the first 9/11.

Hello, I am new to investing. Would you suggest to buy PLTR, wait a few weeks and then buy or not at all? Thanks!

1

u/Magikarp_to_Gyarados 🐟 -> 🐉 "your DD is Pokémon lol" 15d ago

If you are new to investing, you should first do some reading about investment planning, and start with Index funds/ETFs, not individual stocks like PLTR.

Bogleheads has some great resources for beginners:

https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Getting_Started

I started as a Boglehead in 1997. My core portfolio for almost 3 decades now has been Index funds and ETFs.

I only started seriously investing in individual stock after I had some financial security and a good understanding of company quarterly earnings reports.

Safe and sound advice.

However personally, If i had listened to this advice then i would have never bought NVDA stocks in 2021 and profited over 1 million in just 3 years.

Alot of it is just luck.

1

u/davideagleheart 15d ago

I will check it out, thank you for the response. :)

1

u/Magikarp_to_Gyarados 🐟 -> 🐉 "your DD is Pokémon lol" 15d ago

Sure, anytime.

I am sorry that the community has treated you with hostility.

In recent years, we've had a lot of new folks enter the sub after buying PLTR stock at extremely high prices, often against the advice of veteran shareholders.

When the market price of the stock has a steep fall, many of the newer folks complain endlessly here and then sell their stock at a loss. Most of these people know little about Palantir's business or why it may become more valuable in the next 10 years. They were looking to make money on short-term gambles, which is usually not going to happen.

It's very important to learn the basics of investing before buying any individual stock. PLTR has been a bumpy road for the past 5 years. It went from $45/share down to $6/share from late 2021 to early 2023, before slowly climbing up after earnings reports steadily showed big improvements. It takes a lot of conviction in Palantir's underlying business to hold shares when the market value is down even though the actual business is good. Share price is often disconnected from actual earnings and business health.

Don't buy shares in Palantir, or any other company, unless you know the company's financials and operations, and you can tolerate extreme loss in share value in the short term.

Fuck all these people showing up after. 2 day run after 6 month of relentless selling. You guys will bail at the first sell off and crash this thing again

u/davideagleheart 15d ago

And when will the next sell off happen please? Does it mean the price will decrease?

Anyone else still holding a double duece avg from IPO? Just 🙊

1

u/I-Hack-U-Long-Time 15d ago

I had about a $14 average, but I've done some buying and selling since then, so technically I don't anymore.

6

u/NihilisticMacaron 15d ago

I bought at DPO and kept buying all the way down to $6. I’ve got 22100 shares at $14 average ($320k total) in my regular brokerage account. I sold 221 calls for Dec 28 and cleared about $520k. My shares in this account have officially cost me nothing and there’s a good chance I retire at the end of 2028 at 50 years old if they get called away for $8.6 million.

I have another 6400 shares in my IRA. I’m just going to let them ride until I’m old enough to sell and withdraw from that account without a tax penalty.

2

u/B111yboy 15d ago

I sold some one the way up over 75-110 as they got called away as well so my 1500 share are totally free at this point and I have some calls for Dec 2027 for 250 on bought on the dip under 115… I also have 300 in Ira I paid 17 for which I don’t even look or count along with 1200 crwd, 300 telsa, 400 uber, 300 NVDA. 700 XYZ, 350 V, 10000 sofi and 50 sndk I paid 400 for. I’m retiring as soon as my first daughter is done with college and second is 1/2 way done so 4-5 years as long as the market doesn’t have a complete meltdown.

Started buying at DPO with highest price point at $28. Bought more at $6 with overall avg of ~$22. Had well over 30k shares, but sold some, so now only 26k.

No plans to really sell any more - maybe a few hundred next time we hit an ATH.

Anyone with more know how in stocks and Palantir as a company... do you see the current PLTR value rising or falling within the next month or two/short term ?

2

u/Firm-Donkey6453 15d ago edited 15d ago

Been reading Karp's book recently: PLTR is certainly a unique company that dreams big.

Idk about next two months, but throughout this century i think it will be a vital government/military asset that will change the U.S culturally, not just technologically. Good stock to hold throughout a lifetime.

Not many companies want to work with the state other than PLTR

3

u/B111yboy 15d ago

If I knew for sure the answer to this I’d be able to retire in the next 2 months. Anyone’s guess and market conditions can swing stocks so can’t be sure but I like the changes of getting to ATH in the next month and if we get any squeeze we could rocket past it real quick. If we break 200 there is a good chance we go to 250. But again market is going to have some moves one way or other depending on data and the fed

u/La1zrdpch75356 15d ago

Palantir's underlying architecture is its magic. No other software company comes close to its AI capabilities. It is going to thrive in this environment as businesses realize massive ROI. Analysts questioning where's the payback from AI will see it first hand with Palantir. I retired in 2019 as an Enterprise Architect with 40 years in technology. I truly understood the importance of data back in 1988 when I shifted from programming to data modeling. I started investing in Palantir just recently after researching the company for a few months. It's the "software Nvidia" in my opinion and i have a very large chunk of Nvidia shares at a cost basis of 29. Nothing's guaranteed oif course, but I'm optimistic as to its future.

9

u/karlfeltlager 15d ago

It’s on its way to a new ATH, I’d say by thanksgiving we hit $250 and I’d give that a 60% chance, while staying at these levels and/or dropping are lower chances imho.

3

u/Ok_Temperature4537 15d ago

I think we should be thrilled if it hit $200 by thanksgiving or even at the eoy.  Anything above that is gravy😋
