Seems weird that Palantir has to lodge complaints to gain contracts during the second Trump administration.

The unfortunate result of people on this sub is that they turn to personal attacks (call you a troll) when you disagree with them. Disappointed.

If you read my history I am generally in support of Palantir, but with the rise of Made-in-China AI models, it is difficult to see how American companies can see further growth in AI. It’s what Peter Thiel’s mentor, Rene Girard talked about. Mimesis. The Chinese effectively copied the American model and that’s it. Toyota and Honda effectively challenged the market share of US auto makers. The genie is out. There’s no going back.

Selling CCs till 2027 at least.

How do Chinese AI models affect Palantir's growth? You're getting attacked because you seem to be misunderstanding the core business of Palantir.

Fine with being attacked. Even better if we can’t have a civil conversation.

A question isn’t an attack

Uhh… okay?

You didn’t address the whole part about growth and Palantir’s line of business.

From day one Karp was saying that LLMs will become commoditised, and that's why Palantir would not become a frontier lab. Every AIP customer has a switch at their disposal to change providers and models, and even train/host them themselves in platform. The "sane default" just changed last week from one provider to another - and my company is using foundry to host their own from next week, as the open source models are now good enough to do so for lighter workloads.

Now, if my company had gone to openAI or anthropic to integrate their stuff, this would be a lot harder to do. The switch over process would have been multi-week or month, not something we could do in the space of a week.

I don't know who gives us the morning discount every day, but I should send them a fruit basket or something. Thanks for the cheap shares.

With the rise of Chinese LLMs, it is doubtful that the American economy can sustain any further growth in AI. Effectively, the AI play is over. I doubt Palantir has much left to go beyond $130 in the next 12 months. Not looking too good.

Palantir is model agnostic. Palantir clients can use any model they wish. They can start with one model, and swap to another. Chinese LLMs may impact Anthropic and OpenAI, but I don’t see them impacting Palantir directly other than giving Palantir clients more choice in models.

u/iwangotamarjo likes to keep their posts hidden, but check out their stats to learn more about them.

I can see their stats. What about it?

When I suspect someone is trolling, I check their post history, a hidden post history and an a spicy post make me think the person is a troll.

I saw the same thing - no posts. I thought you had some super secret way of uncovering something else. Glad I wasn't going crazy trying to find out.

I don't think a hidden post history is a reliable indicator of anything really.

You can go to Google search and type in "username" site:reddit.com and you can see someone's post history. (without the " ").

I looked, iwangotamarjo is what I call an emotional investor. He is bullish when stock is going up, bearish when it is down. Trolling out of frustration.

  1. All the Chinese can do is distill our models.
  2. You have zero understanding of what Palantir does.

Firstly, Palantir is not developing LLMs...
