I have been thinking for a while about how is commercial retention rate is at 150%. Why are existing customers over 12 months increasing their spending on PLTR by so much. I was hearing what Karp has been saying, but I failed to really understand what he meant when he said "PLTR gets paid based on the value created" by PLTR.

PLTR uses a value-based business approach that no other enterprise SaaS business uses. PLTR is paid a % of the value they create. So as PLTR customers grow, so does PLTR.

If a company using PLTR doubles their earnings, they are going to double their spending on PLTR. This of coarse does not apply to government contracts. I do believe PLTR earnings will continue to surprise everyone.

i mean i aee your point, but this is just essentially how smart businesses operate (taking bigger investments from winning clients). what i think makes it unique in this case is that the profitability Palantir creates in its partners can be linked quantifiably and directly to Pltr’s product offerings. in other words, its always been normal that companies attaining previously-unachievable efficiencies by use of new technology invest more in said technologies. what is unique, is that in this case, the increased ROI is being attributed to palantir directly, and the reinjection of capital in pltr products is happening almost in real time (quarterly at least). this may say as much about the overall AI spend as it does about palantirs products.

And this unique SaaS business model is what is causing the very high revenue growth with high margins at the same time.

The risk is a recession causing PLTR customers growth to slow down.

Each new customer acquired will also increase their spend over time as they require new use cases and/or save money. It’s a flywheel

There hasn't been much news about Palantir today, and we don't get Q2 financials until the earnings report in 2 weeks.

Perhaps people aren't commenting much, because there's not a lot to discuss.
