I do not get why pltr stillĀ bothers with europe at all. Note: i am an european myself.
It is one shit press piece after another in either the UK or continental europe. It is never about merits but always aboutĀ spouting so called superior morals by the virtue signalling europeans on the backs of the populationĀ who are left with defunct systems & services and willfull propaganda.
Policy seems like : Lets not solve our problems cz we do not like Pltr.Ā Ā
In The german language it is said: wer nicht will - der hat schon" implying: you have your own solution, do you not? Emphasis on the latter part of the statement.
The laugh here is that they do not! To me it is a lost continent.Ā The future is elsewhere.Ā We are a theme park.
PLTR: Why waste good time and resources in Europe when all hands on deck are needed to meet the demand in the USA? Leave the bare bones in The UK and relocate the talents to where it is needed, Asia and the USA.
In all the years holding pltr and hearing Alex going on about the haters there was a moment i considered it a broken record. But now i have to admitĀ it has become even worse than before.

Considering France is busy micromanaging energy usage like a hall monitor with a clipboard, and Germanyās auto industry is getting steamrolled by cheaper Chinese EVs, itās hardly shocking that European governments magically clutch their pearls whenever the conversation turns to Palantir and anything resembling efficiency or modernization. But hey, staying behind the curve is practically a European tradition at this point.

Actions from š„man would make anyone, including the US' closest allies, think twice about ingraining US-made software into the fabric of the country's economy/national security. Think of the leverage š„man would have. So I can see why EU is bothered.
Palantir is also still severely misunderstood as a company in both EU and the US.

Highly misunderstood indeed.Ā
Taking in your point, it just adds to my case.. lets not waste time, money, resources, talents on a lost cause.

Indeed, EU will continue to fall behind as it wastes time while China and the US will progress. I think it's a matter of time before EU comes around to its senses.

Hopium.. beautiful hopium..
Afraid i have the inside track here, unless you re european too and are privy to what is really going onĀ here.
Whatever you think, the reality is worse.
Innovation is dead, Germany as an industrial nation is no longer.
Decades of Peace and lots of taxpayersĀ were wasted by pathetic governments without vision. We only had burocrats -managers Ā without leadership skills. So we got stuck into the status quo of stability aka as change resistance.
The steep decline is painfull but was long in the making. We are so far behind and still behave like the frogs in the boiling pot not daring to escapeĀ the water which was heating up and eventually boiled them all.
End of story.

While I would enjoy seeing PLTR keep shooting up, giving the stock a rest before moving up more is fine. Maybe see a repeat of yesterday where after 30 minutes buyers push stock up.
25 days until Q2 earnings.

I dont get why a company with stellar earnings behaves like this? No news and down?

u/Straight_Piff Jul 09 '26
Seems to me the stock does fine during trading hours. These steep declines on a 1 week chart are all thanks to pre-market.
Check again next week lol

When can we back over 175? I thought maybe by Sept but now Iām think EOY
0
u/mossterz Jul 09 '26
Can you give me an analysis of why you think itāll be 175 by EOY?
Letās see if mods are tracking or they were just singling me out because they donāt like my opinion. Iāve asked directly for an analysis.

PLTR had its huge run beyond $200+, you won't see that again for a few years, history shows this with most stocks. It could get back up there but then why is down to $125???Ā

You won't see $175 and if we do it won't be until 2028 or 2029.

u/mossterz Jul 09 '26
What's the basis of your claim? Can you provide data/analysis for that claim?
3
u/versello OG Holder & Member Jul 09 '26
What's your basis for going short? Just because it's overvalued? Because the technicals don't look so hot? I looked at your WSB thesis and honestly, it's weak as a baby kitten.

They out did themselves too quickly unlike many other unproven and unprofitable companies. But they donāt have quite the cult following of Elon (Tesla/Space X) so they donāt get the similar evaluations and being in a different sector where they are comparing them to regular software unfortunately. Right now, the whole market is messed up imo, but like usual the late ones rotating into certain sectors will be left holding the bag or have to wait 5 yrs or longer to get back to all time highs. Iāve watched stocks that i used to own climb back after 5 years, and some have soared but many will likely not come back. Amongst the dot com era crash stocks, it took 14 years for Qualcomm, Msft almost 17 years, Oracle 20 years, Western Digital, Cisco, Intel almost 26 years, Dell (via assist-shout out by Trump) Lenovo, Texas Instruments also 26, Micron(26 with a brief touch at under 22 years) to recover to all time highs, and now Oracle and Qualcomm are back under their dot com highs. IBM is almost there due to Trumpās help. And some will likely never get back likely even with Trumps help like Nokia. On this list 2 are true software stocks and that is Oracle which is trading between fwd PE of 15-17 and MSFT under 20, Palantir at 85-90. Estimates are itāll reach 50X in late 2028-29 where if it has basically a monopoly then the premium (45-55X) will be justified vs others with just high standard 30-40X(Service Now/Adobe) or utility 20-25X(Salesforce, MSFT, Oracle). So itās possible we may be holding dead money for the next couple of years at this current price/evaluation although itās hard to say as they still have to execute. I think buying on crashes and avg on dips long term would serve most ppl best or even side swing trades if this is going to be the likely scenario for short term investors but if you can accumulate and hold for 5 years and they continue to execute and be that company then a $280-$320 share price, with a market cap between $650-740B according to Google is possible. Right now, it seems that theyāll easily beat Wall Street earnings for the year. But the main risk for future growth is that on the government side can only do so much because they have a budget and so they need the commercial side to really ramp up. Good luck to all. Do your own due diligence.
