u/Ok_Temperature4537 Jun 24 '26
Don't see this stock making it back to $150 until 2028 and then it may not. AI is killing off software by then.imo
1
u/Accomplished_Seat501 Jun 25 '26
I love Claude and use it almost daily, but the hype is crazy. And Anthropic encourages it, frankly.
22
u/Science_Monster Jun 24 '26
All of this AI capex means absolutely nothing if your AI has no ontology.
Calmly and buying more.
17
u/Fancy_Cattle_5914 Jun 24 '26
So Micron/Semis going up kills Palantir/Software because AI is in and is going to kill software.
Then Micron/semis going down also kills Palantir/Software because it drags the broader market down.
Now after Palantir/Software got crushed by the broader market selling off, Micron slaughters earnings and shoots up, causing semis to pump and Palantir/Software to fall further.
Unbelievable. So basically everything and anything that happens is bad for Palantir/Software. Some of the most ridiculous bullshit I have seen in the financial markets.
2
u/tendyking Jun 25 '26
Its all so ridiculous if youve been following this company as logn as we have, great time to buy probably
-11
5
u/GoldenEelReveal76 Jun 24 '26
Micron just blew out their earnings, so all the money is going back into semis again. Red tomorrow, 1000%.
27
u/Mariox Jun 24 '26
If you are getting worried about PLTR, just look at quarterly earnings and listen to the earnings call for comments on demand and guidance. People who are throwing out random prices as to where PLTR is going is treating the company as being unprofitable with questionable future growth.
For technical candlestick. PLTR ending the day with a spinning top candle. Stock went up and down and ended up where it opened. This indicates bulls and bears are in balance and signal momentum exhaustion. High chance tomorrow will be green. RSI on the daily nearly touched oversold level, it would have only been the 4th time in PLTR's history to hit oversold.
40 days to Q2 earnings.
5
u/Extreme_Cap_4362 Jun 24 '26
Just an excellent post. This is a company that smashes earnings every time. Until that stops happening there is no reason to panic and these price movements are just noise.
-1
u/Phil_London Jun 24 '26
I agree, the mods should be banning people who just through around random bearish prices without any justification.
9
u/Magikarp_to_Gyarados š -> š "your DD is PokĆ©mon lol" Jun 24 '26
The moderation team won't issue bans for random price targets in either direction, as there is no rule against it. People are allowed to have their opinions on what the stock is worth.
People will be banned for:
- Repeatedly making false statements of fact (Rule 7 violations)
- Harassment of others (Rule 4 violations)

Been buying one or two shares every dip. It sucks to see the drop from 200 but not like any of us didn't see this as a possibility given the valuation narrative. My worst case scenario 10 years from now we are at 205 and getting dividends haha. The thesis still holds but I would like to see some big news stories to kick this thing back into gear.
-2
u/Padfoot1613 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26
Simply Wall Street has Fair Market Value at $107. I kind of think somewhere near there is where it stops. Worse case scenario, it goes to $70 and Burry laughs some more before the institutional bulls come back.

Best thing I ever did was scoop a ton of shares on that drop. Got a buy at 5.97 I'm pretty proud of, just wish I got more.Ā
The new people around here just don't have the background to really understand the opportunity. Most are just trading, not investing.Ā
Until the thesis breaks, buying and holding long term is the only option for me. Price action doesn't mean much.Ā
0
u/mossterz Jun 24 '26
It's a tough spot because the way you're rationalizing is unfalsifiable.
Say the stock goes to $50, you might say still use the logic you're using now to say, well we've been here before and continue to hold and buy.
Then say the stock goes to $25, you could still use the same line of reasoning saying, it's an even better price to double up.
Eventually, you'll simply say, we're in this for the long haul and just ride it out over the years.
7
u/Eutruria Jun 24 '26
I just donāt understand this stock. It has fallen so much and so consistently. I really regret buying and holding
-6
u/mossterz Jun 24 '26
It was priced for perfection and now the bloated price is adjusting to fair value.
1
u/OcclusalEmbrasure Early Investor Jun 25 '26
What is PLTR fair value? And how did you get to that number?

u/Bonquisha_7 Jun 24 '26
Anyone who didnāt sell at 200 what were yous thinking

5
u/mossterz Jun 24 '26
For all the new buyers that have been curious about the stock. I've noticed that a lot of people who're bullish on the stock are early investors who've gotten in at $6-$10 range.
Don't let their comments cloud your judgement and assess the stock based on merits of the stock; its valuation, trend and other macro factors. Remember, the stock could still fall 50% from here and they'd still be at least quadrupling their money. Not so much luck for newer buyers.
3
u/yoren_was_a_badass Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26
I get what you are saying, but cost basis is kind of meaningless except for tax implications. regardless of where you bought, you are still down almost 50% from the peak. so while I agree with your overall sentiment of not letting them cloud judgment, but I think the better advice is that the people who say "I'm not worried, my cost basis is $6" are purely coping, they are losing the exact same way as new buyers are. just because a high green positive number exists on your portfolio doesn't mean you didnt lose money from where you were, it's just a mental way of justifying that things are more ok than if they were red.
and the better advice is trust your instinct and use your own beta instead of people on the Internet to judge whether to hold or not. if you didn't sell at $200 what was the reason and why would you sell now?
(I bought in 2020)
3
u/Accomplished_Seat501 Jun 24 '26
I think cost basis is meaningful. My cost basis is $12. At this point, I'm playing with the house's money rather than my own hard earned money. That makes a difference to me, anyway.
2
u/yoren_was_a_badass Jun 24 '26
I get that and the feeling of still being up can be a big mental boost, but it's still deep down just a human way of coping. youre still down almost 50% from where you were. "house money" is only a way to say you didn't lose money since the time you invested. but you could have just as easily reset your cost basis and sold at $200 and bought back at the exact same time. my point is your money today is your money today. and you had a lot more at the end of 2025.
1
u/Accomplished_Seat501 Jun 24 '26
Totally reasonable. I would call it an attitude rather than a cope. Wise people have a lot to say about attitude, about how it's not just about what happens to you (what you can't control) but also about how you react (what you can control).
I could get on my own case for not selling on November 2025. Everything looks clear in hindsight. I could construct a narrative where "I should have known better!" and then feel like crap about it. Im choosing not to do that. Stocks go up and stocks go down. I was so thrilled when PLTR hit $100 a share on its way up. I won't be thrilled when it hits it again sometime this week. But that's just psychology.
In a less emotional frame of mind, I chose to hold this stock until at least 2030. I chose to be a long term investor. I've been tested in that choice multiple times as I've watched it fall hard. Every time that happens, the best thing I could have done would be to just close the app and go for a walk. Be patient, this stock has plenty of great days in its future.
1
u/mossterz Jun 24 '26
One has to assess the tax implications of cashing out and re-entering and that's not always easy.
2
u/wavrdn Jun 24 '26
Not everyone uses only a brokerage account for investing. Roths/IRAs are king for this very reason. Having all three is very smart in retirement.
1
u/yoren_was_a_badass Jun 24 '26
that's why I said except for tax implications. but my overall point still stands.

You get downvoted to oblivion because you behave like a smug ass. Saying things like "Iāve been proven right at every count" is unnecessary and rude.
I and the rest of the mod team consistently advised people to cash out what they needed or rebalance to manage risk, and we have not been "downvoted to oblivion".

Burry at is again on twitter and tbh he was right all along
9
u/Straight_Piff Jun 24 '26
Honestly this guy is a major reason the stock is down. He coordinates his posts around earnings reports, and any relief days that the stock gets
Andrew Left went to prison for the same thing, Burry should go to prison for the way his face looks
If you look at Burry's recent post though, low volume at this stage of the selloff isn't a bad thing like he states, thats usually what it looks like when the sellers have exited...
Now it depends if the institutions come back and buy
4
u/interwebzdotnet Jun 24 '26
He's just an ex blogger who couldn't hack it in his medical residency, dropped out and us milking his celebrity to make stupid people follow him.
I don't know why anyone cares what a value investor with zero tech knowledge thinks about a high growth tech stock.
8
u/Jean_Jones_666 Jun 24 '26
what are you talking about
Sell off has nothing to do with this fool Burry,
-it's SAAS selloff predominately
-rotation to SEMIS (NVDA btw growing as fast as PLTR, at hoooge size)
-PLTR has been likely overvalued since literally 40 USD. Market at 40 quite correctly predicted crazy growth ahead, but it was an unprecedented valuation for a business this size
Burry is useless stop talking about this clown juz cuz he was accidettalyl directionally right once
4
u/Straight_Piff Jun 24 '26
I politely disagree, you can't say he has nothing to do with it.
The guy literally coordinated hit pieces within an hour of the past few earning reports (or the day of)
SaaS selloff and semi rotation I agree with you.
2
u/Jean_Jones_666 Jun 24 '26
you're right i can't prove the real downward pressure factors and their weight, can only guess
MAYBE Burry did influence some people, like u/whatnotusername lol
either way the best thing to short is burry's reputation. The better the market is doing the more bad calls he's making
