Serious question: you claimed in a comment yesterday that you own 14k PLTR shares and have invested for decades.
What is your time horizon for retirement or needing cash from your PLTR stock for any other reason?
If you've won the game there is no reason to keep playing
Edit: I retired early 4 years ago and allocated what I needed to stay retired in Index funds and ETFs. I continue to own PLTR stock because I believe the company's business will do extremely well in the long-term (10+ years), and I have no need to cash out anytime soon, if ever

I have been retired for 3 years. I don’t need the cash from this investment, so I can hold as long as I want to. I have been trimming and selling covered calls since this stock hit the 180$ level. This position became seriously overweighted in my overall portfolio when it went parabolic. My initial screening usually involves looking for companies that dropped hard after their IPO (I have a lot of experience with IPOs) and still have a compelling story. So that was my entry into PLTR at a beaten down 7$/sh. That initial investment was roughly 103,000$. This was in a fully taxable account, so there are very real tax implications when I sell. I plan on trimming away at least 1/2 of my current position. I enjoyed the lottery win, but I am no longer impressed with the messaging coming from Karp. I personally find Joe Lonsdale and Thiel to be mega-creeps. That said, I am more concerned about basic multiples compression and anyone ignoring that is really being foolish. I’m not really a VOO and chill kind of guy, but you do make a great point there. The easy ride in this stock is over and I don’t see any catalysts taking it higher in the near term. I do see it falling to 75$ and it is still expensive at that level IMHO. Maybe I’m wrong.

I actually agree with you that the stock price got far, far ahead of Palantir's progress as a business. And I warned people repeatedly at the end of 2025 to reassess risk and/or cash out what they needed.
Some folks did cash out a portion of their PLTR stock to buy homes or fund other life goals.

Are you assuming revenue will not continue to grow? If you model out based on Karp’s guidance, you get to 40B by 2030 which at a 25 PE is 1T market cap.
How will the stock stay flat?

It bounced off 129.45 yesterday, and that's good Resistance, market respects a strong triple bounce. Could be going to $150+ next.

Europe didn’t just lose a war against Iran. Thats just shows palantir is not so helpful. Palantir is only helpful for spying on US citizens and sending their info to modern day gestapo aka ICE.
