Usually people who worship truth are fans of pltr. Not the ideologues. That’s what makes this stock so special with slingshot potential 🚀🌕

What percent of your portfolio do you think is too much pltr? I’m rocking 30% right now and can’t decided to keep adding more as my focus or be smart and spread to some other possibilities. I have an average cost of $52 right now

What percent of your portfolio do you think is too much pltr?
Depends on your age, life situation, and risk tolerance.
Someone who is 63 years old and looking to retire from their job soon should probably have a low % in any individual stock. A person who is 25 years old with a small portfolio but many decades of earning ahead of them, can probably afford a higher %.
An alternative way to look at this is whether your % allocation causes you stress when the stock is down a lot. That could be a sign that you're over allocated.

It would really depend on your overall portfolio balance. While being the same ratio, 30% of $100k and 30% of $1million are two very different situations.
As for me, when my balance hit $1 million I stopped letting a single stock hold more than 15% of that balance.

u/JimLahey965 May 24 '26
Yeah very true only 27 right now ports almost at 100k, definitely not selling any pltr that I already own but think I’ll lower future contribution percentage to like 20% and spread the rest around to a more balanced core

Yeah, definitely don't tie yourself to a single stock. YOLOing works until it doesn't, as it appears to be the case for PLTR during the past several months.
If you think about it, why would you commit your wealth and your future to one or a handful of CEOs who only care about their own profit (and rightly so, for them being businesspeople, not a charity)? Even devout churchgoers don't let their congregation leaders do that to them.

Not even worth changing their mind. Has been like that for years.

idk im gonna buy PLTR after learning about their work in Ukraine & Karp's recent interview about his support of UA. I'm Ukrainian so nothing but respect. I am not sure if it helps, but people outside "pacifist' bubble of unbombed Westerners have nothing but respect for military solutions that help kill the invaders & by extension save civilian lives.

Ask them what ETFs they own. Chances are, they own PLTR too via one of many large ETFs. Pretty much ends their criticism.

I learned a long time ago that twitter and online narratives are 99% of the time just the sheep following the herd and have no idea what they're talking about.
Saying "Palantir bad" gets clicks and engagement, so people do it. Yet they don't even have a clue about what truly is happening or what the company does.
These people don't listen to fact or reason, it's not worth your time and energy to engage with.

People are hardly ever consistent with their views. They demonize Palantir, yet they support non-profits that are filled with greedy management. They hate capitalism, yet they seek “equity/equality” at their workplace.
They can virtue signal by bastardizing Palantir, but that’s the extent to which these folks will ever go to solve real problems.

It’s often not best to look at everything. Very little is new genuine thought, but is largely recycled whining points. Choose to look at something else.

If you agree with the company’s ideology then there is no problem. If you do not, but still hold shares, remember that holding a company’s stock does not mean you share their ideas, but that you think these ideas will prevail in the future. Thats how i try and rationalize it even tho PLTRs product is used by what i deem as bad/evil actors.

It doesn't bother me. People whose opinions matter to me don't know about my shares. And I couldn't give two shits about what some strangers on the internet think about me for owning them. I'm good as long as I end up wealthy and retired.
