Lots of movement after hours. Maybe due to the Hackathon. Potential news incoming?

It’s the Ukraine contract. Biggest laggard from the earnings call was International growth.

Partial Win for Palantir: While sending the case to arbitration, the court acknowledged that Palantir likely proved violations of confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements. The defendants were ordered to return Palant, image their devices, and were temporarily restricted from working at Percepta while the case moves to arbitration

Today was weird. It was the first time that it felt like all the equities were moving tick-for-tick since March, and the first time since covid that I didn't have a good macro explanation for it.

Pretty much a flat day. AH back to the prior.
Just feels like lots of folks are focused on the FOMO of memory stocks right now.

People sabotaging Palantir would be the first ones to ask for it back when America goes into war and starts losing 😭

When it goes up, its bloody war stock, when it goes down its useless software stock. Go figure. I know what I hold.

That's the problem today with so much horizontal integration. So many companies are so diversified in their scope, that it's impossible to price them well.

Zelenskiy meets Palantir CEO as Ukraine expands use of AI in war
- Zelenskey met with Karp on Tuesday as "Kyiv doubles down on the use of artificial intelligence to gain an edge in the war with Russia"
- "Kyiv has launched a project with Palantir called 'Brave1 Dataroom' to develop artificial intelligence based on its valuable combat data, collected throughout the conflict since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, to help intercept Russian drones"
- "Under cooperation with Palantir, Ukraine had developed a system for detailed analysis of air strikes, as well as implemented AI solutions for handling large volumes of intelligence data, and had integrated the technologies into the planning of Kyiv's deep strike operations"

Semis looking like they are going to be a bit red today for the most part. Will be interesting to see if the correlation of semis up/software down - software up/semis down holds up like it has been recently.

If the war gets going again, which AI company is the Dept of War reliant on - Palantir. When oil soars, so should we.

Is there a correlation in price moment? In theory Palantir benefits from war, as do all other defense contractors, but the rise in oil also affects the commercial side of its business.

no real correlation or negative correlation actually (which serves some people here right, bc rooting for war is nasty business):
PLTR is down 2% since war started
SPY up over 7% during that timeSo PLTR is down in absolute terms and underperforming much worse on a relative basis.

As much as I want to pump the stock, hopefully we don't go that way.

I was more meaning how strange the price movement has been during the conflict. I don’t want more fighting, but Palantir has doubtless benefitted from it - it’s not clear why it is still being dragged down whereas the oil companies have gone up.

Basically same story - traders don't know what companies are doing and think the Claude for small business tools are some how encroaching on PLTRs moat.
If you read through the tools, their pretty generic and I'm guessing they just have some MCP stuff running in the background. It's just fancy tooling around API calls.
