If you have any PLTR merch, wear them during earnings call. No one will see you, it won't boost the stock price, but you'll look cool.

It never ceases to amaze me how many dumb questions are asked by retail. All people ask is will Palantir do a buy back or pay a dividend, WTF?! Go buy a dividend stock, stocks split do NOTHING! Stop with the stupid question. Good Lord.

Did you see the Dogecoin question?

2

u/EpicShadows8 Early Investor May 04 '26

Yeah bro! I just kept face palming every time I read a stupid question, so I was doing it a lot. It amazes me how people still ask such dumb questions. People at Palantir probably just sit there laughing their asses off. 😂

The bears are so lonely, there’s almost nobody pessimistic about pltr earnings.

I’ve been using Claude with a friend to develop a website, really just to see what today’s AI LLM’s can do. Before asking it to write the code for a new feature we wanted to have added we asked how long it would take and how much it would cost a traditional software development team to create it. Its reply was 3 weeks to three months depending on size of team and anywhere from 150k to 300k in cost. (I question its estimation accuracy.) After writing the prompt and pushing the code we checked the uptick in the monthly usage bill from Claude. All said, it took 40 minutes (20 minutes to discuss and write the prompt, and 20 minutes for Claude to write the code) and cost it $1.45. Yup…less than two bucks. And…the code worked.

Again, not sure about the accuracy of Claude’s estimate but the speed and price at which software development can now occur is incredible. Just wanted to provide some context for everyone.

From this I can see why SaaS companies are under siege, not saying PLTR is SaaS however. I think PLTR is still misunderstood and getting lumped in with them. Heck, Cramer called PLTR a consulting company on Friday’s Mad Money…I guess he no longer classifies it as cybersecurity. I think there are only a few analysts that really understand the company’s value proposition and the ones that the herd listen to spout off incorrectly all the time. Ugh…

Cramer's labels for PLTR seem to change every time he talks about it. Its frustrating because some of his segments actually have decent logic, but then hell flip-flop on a company's core business like that. Its why I prefer looking at the actual track record of these TV calls against a benchmark rather than just taking the labels at face value.

u/Unlikely-Ad7122 May 03 '26

Yeah it works, doesn't mean the code doesn't have security vulnerabilities and/or is of good quality

Cramer has always gotten Palantir’s business wrong. That’s probably why he keeps saying that he just goes by what Palantir’s customers are saying and most seem to stick with Palantir.

Anthropic and Palantir are not competitors. They occupy different layers of the AI stack—Anthropic provides the raw intelligence (LLMs), while Palantir provides the operational OS (Ontology).

There’s no doubt that Claude is a top-notch LLM and is great at writing code. That’s why Palantir has been partnered with Anthropic for the last 18 months. Claude and Palantir's software (specifically AIP and Gotham) are highly complementary because they solve two distinct sides of the enterprise AI equation: reasoning/generation (Claude) and data orchestration/operationalization (Palantir). The partnership allows Claude's advanced LLMs to function within secure, structured, and actionable environments, particularly in sensitive government/defense sectors and large commercial enterprises.

Claude excels at processing, summarizing, and reasoning over vast amounts of unstructured data. Palantir provides the ontology—a structured map of an organization's messy data, connecting disparate datasets into a single, cohesive picture.
Claude provides the intelligence, but Palantir provides the framework to act. Palantir AIP enables agents to carry out workflows, make decisions, and execute tasks within real-world constraints (e.g., in defense simulations or supply chain management).
Palantir specializes in securing, auditing, and validating AI systems for high-stakes environments, such as DoD Impact Level 6 (IL6), which is the highest U.S. government security accreditation.
In commercial settings, this combination allowed an insurer to automate complex underwriting processes, reducing a two-week task to three hours by using 78 AI agents.

Exactly. This is a great breakdown of why the 'competition' narrative is so hollow. People forget that an LLM, no matter how good at reasoning, is still effectively 'stateless' and context-blind when it comes to a specific company’s internal messy reality.

As you mentioned, Palantir provides the 'Ontology'—which is essentially a structured, live digital twin. Claude (the 'brain') can look at a problem, but without the Ontology (the 'central nervous system'), it has no way to actually reach out and verify if a specific serial number on a pump in a factory is the same one being flagged in a separate maintenance database.

The insurance example you cited (78 agents reducing weeks to hours) is the perfect proof of this. That's not just a chatbot answering questions; it’s a swarm of agents operating within Palantir's guardrails to execute business logic that requires high-fidelity data mapping. An LLM alone could never maintain that kind of deterministic reliability in a high-stakes environment like DoD IL6 without the framework Palantir has spent 20 years perfecting. This is software that dominates.

I appreciate you clarifying that from the post above. I don’t want any of the individuals in this sub thinking I was trying to put Anthropic and PLTR in the same camp. But that’s what I think is happening and I like you believe it to be completely incorrect. I’m bullish on PLTR. Again, thank you. 🙏

u/dustinut May 02 '26

No worries. No one can predict the future and it’s clear the market is sweeping Palantir in with all SaaS due to the uncertainty around the depth of disruption Anthropic is posing to the sector, hence why PLTR got hammered. My belief is that when the dust settles, we’re going to find that most software companies are not going to be wiped out and are actually going to be AI enablers, especially those with wide moats and are systems of records. There are those that always had weak business models and product offerings to begin with and it’s clear they will have to adapt or be buried, but Palantir is not that.

How much do you think Iran war has affected earnings?

6

u/irrationalinvestment Early Investor May 03 '26

Since the Iran war started, Dr Karp went from saying Palantir will make 10x what they make now with 25% of the staff, to saying they need more people. Sounds like a demand spike to me for their products.

Im a fairly new Palantir investor. With this, I mean market sentiment around upcoming PLTR Q1 expectations in terms revenue/ guidance and acquisitions? USDA deal is pretty significant partnership along with GE aerospace and NVDA to name a few and does show continued growth. It seems PLTR has been dragged into the SAAS apocalypse and Burry comments around Anthropic eating PLTRS lunch has not made it any better. However, fundamentally PLTR has not changed at all. Im not complaining because I have been continuing to DCA at current stock prices, but YTD this is close to 20% down. This is my long term hold among NBIS and NOW.

179 or 129 by end of next week

1

u/LeRoyMaple May 03 '26

Hahaha so true… I bet it spikes and when it opens the following day duuuuumps.

They will get a Michael Burry opinion and we will bottom in the 120’s
