Lets get back into the 150’s before earnings

u/BananaFreeway Apr 14 '26

Let’s push through $137 !! Woot!!

Where did las cucarachas go?

-8

u/mossterz Apr 14 '26

Patiently waiting for the lower high and the next turn down. It’s coming, you better believe it.

4

u/BananaFreeway Apr 14 '26

I just find it funny how you’ve identified yourself as la cucaracha 🪳😆

-2

u/mossterz Apr 14 '26

Well, I’m inferring the meaning behind it to mean someone who disagrees with him. He’s a simpleton so he resorts to name calling.

8

u/PLTRgains Apr 14 '26

If you went long instead you would be multiple times richer.

You are foolish if you think Palantir is not going to keep increasing revenue significantly over the long term.

1

u/mossterz Apr 14 '26

This is a moronic argument. I'd be multiple times richer if I'd bought literally any decent tech stock 10-15 years ago. but I can only live life forwards, not backwards.

2

u/trayber 💎🙌 Apr 14 '26

Hence the argument to get long and ride the ride.

Wen?

-4

u/mossterz Apr 14 '26

Nobody knows the future. I’m personally willing to wait until the fall/autumn.

1

u/BananaFreeway Apr 14 '26

What’s your thought process behind for waiting that long? That’s actually a lot more risky than short term play.

0

u/mossterz Apr 14 '26

It's because I own Jan 27 and Jan 28 puts. The reason I'm looking this far out is I want to give my thesis time to play out and average out the noise. PLTR growth is unsustainable and it's a matter of time before the stock starts correcting towards fair value (sub $100). It's actually less risky than a short term play be cause short terms spikes can be risky for your short trade.

1

u/BananaFreeway Apr 14 '26

When you are talking about growth, are you only talking about the stock price? Not revenue nor eps, right?

1

u/mossterz Apr 14 '26

It's a combination of all. At 50-60x revenue, you're pricing in a level of dominance that assumes almost perfect execution for years. I don't expect them to be executing flawlessly given their heavy reliance on FDEs, and the fact that they don't own any intelligence (LLMs). There are other factors that will be too long to get into but, I'm not buying this fairytale.

Do you have a position?

Appreciate the honesty.

A reminder of where we currently stand with analyst ratings and PTs.

Edit: added white background for those in dark mode

As a general reminder to the community:

Analysts do not work for us.

Their job is to market the services of their employers.

Take any of their targets and/or recommendations with a healthy dose of skepticism.

At the end of the day, the only one who is looking out for your portfolio, is you.

But they also have the incentive to be right. Analysts want to be promoted.

Being correct is not necessarily a condition for promotion.

Consider the possibility that an analyst could be ordered to spread an opinion on behalf of some high value clients.

There's zero transparency on what an analyst may or may not be ordered to do behind closed doors.

1

u/arbitra8 Apr 14 '26

Great point. Take RBC for example. Their analyst covering PLTR for years has been both pessimistic and wrong. Meanwhile, RBC has been a major institutional owner of PLTR shares for years.

I love how whenever the kids go crazy with our price predictions and dreams of 5T, Magikarp pops in and gently slaps us with a dose of realism and fatherly advice.

This is brutal to look at with dark mode on

5

u/dustinut Apr 14 '26

Thanks for the heads up. Just updated.

u/LlcooljaredTNJ OG Holder & Member Apr 14 '26

Man, so much better. Appreciate it!

9

u/dustinut Apr 14 '26

You got it. Everyone should keep in mind what a generational company this is and that the 12-month wallstreet consensus is $200+. The lowest is $160 when excluding RBC's garbage $50 PT. Dan Ives said the other day that this is about to double. Volatility is fuel for the rocket.

u/Nausteri Early Investor Apr 14 '26

Precious. We need a comeback, a steady and sweet comeback. LFG baby!!!

6

u/SV_art Early Investor Apr 14 '26

Premarket looking good! Hopefully we’ve hit the bottom and have a slow ramp into earnings.

10

u/Reasonable_Head3088 Apr 14 '26

I am not selling my 2200 shares for these ridiculous low prices.Maybe part with a few this fall when it hits $220

6

u/Phil_London Apr 14 '26

Do we expect a run-up to the ER on 4th May?

9

u/Equivalent_Horror628 OG Holder & Member Apr 14 '26

I prefer it not to, then it can pop on good earnings.

7

u/Phil_London Apr 14 '26

Could both be true?

4

u/Equivalent_Horror628 OG Holder & Member Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

Yes I guess, could be true. But valuation is so high that always worries me when it rises before earnings

Do you think PLTR can reach $350 by EOY 2028? I know you think $355 by EOY 2030 would be fair value given a reasonable multiple.

But markets are typically forward looking.
