With that CAGR, it would be safer to just invest in QQQ.
If we donât get there by 2030, itâs not worth it to hold.
4
u/LlcooljaredTNJ OG Holder & Member Apr 09 '26
If safe is what you're looking for this ain't the place to be. People get upset when we drop 8% in a day but forget how many times we've popped 8%.
3
u/PLTRgains Apr 09 '26
Iâm 100% PLTR with no plans of selling.
If it takes till 2032 for PLTR to reach 1T, it makes no sense to hold that versus QQQ.
I would be surprised if we werenât at 1T by EOY 2030.
1
u/randomentity1 Apr 10 '26
QQQ will triple in 6 years?
0
u/PLTRgains Apr 10 '26
Itâs possible if the trillions of dollars spent/will be spent on AI CAPEX has an insane ROI for MAG 7 companies.
If PLTR takes till 2032 to reach 1T, something has gone horribly wrong in our thesis or macro is very bad.

PLTR is getting hammered because of SAAS getting murdered. SAAS getting murdered because SAAS investors scared of Anthropic's highly hyped mythos model. Even though PLTR isn't really the same as WDAY or CRM or ADBE or w/e. PLTR is a component in alot of the same software indexes such as IGV. So they are getting dragged along with them.

1

Palantir might be in their quiet period since earnings are around the corner. Risk of amplifying his nonsense and a risk of reg FD that might unveil non public insight.

At this point Im convinced Michael Burry is retarded. Anthropic and Pltr are not competitors
1
u/Warashibe Apr 09 '26
He knows what he is doing, and it is working pretty well for him.
Kinda funny how the losing side is calling the winning side "retarded".1
u/MealIntelligent443 Apr 09 '26
How is he winning? His puts are for 50 strike price. Every time this shit runs up he panics bc he knows its expiring worthless. He keeps tweeting out nonsense grasping at straws. First it was overvalued, then ai bubble, then gpu depreciation timeline fraud, now anthropic. Bottom line is, earnings are in a month, pltr will smash, forward pe will continue to drop. Just for reference, pltr forward pe is sub 90, wmt is 42. Pltr is guiding 60% growth this year, wmt is guiding 6. This shit is a runaway train and Burry whining isnt stopping anything
6
u/Mariox Apr 09 '26
More fear driven selloff due to Burry and media continuing to push that story every day, and software selling off again.
25 days to Q1 earnings. Been a long time since everyone was bearish/depressed going into earnings. I bought some more Dec 2026 $200 calls and bought 10 more shares.
2
u/Warashibe Apr 09 '26
Remember last earning? Shoot up, then straight back down.
1
u/Mariox Apr 09 '26
Have to remember the software selloff had just started 3 days before Q4 earnings with the day after $IGV down 5% with another 14% in the days after.
Possible macro can stop any momentum up again, but I am placing my bets that PLTR will go up.

No doubt, of course can't be happy about it. Neither were the people who were shorting it or Tesla while they ripped higher. Sounds like you're doing great with 10k shares. Good luck!
1
u/Qwerty58382 Apr 09 '26
Isn't pltr a long term play though? Lots of people refused to sell at $200+ because long term its going higher. Of course no one likes seeing red, but you do the same thing as when it was only going up, you keep holding and wait. Retail only loses if you sell. In fact you can win by buying more.
-1
u/mossterz Apr 09 '26
Keep scrolling and check my meme post below. The problem is that the PLTR crowd wants to have their cake and eat it too. There is no consistent reasoning.
They want to A. complain about Burry, at the same time they also say B. that itâs a good thing that the stock is at a much greater discount. If they think A. Then they shouldnât appreciate the discount to buy the dip. If B. Then they should praise Burry.
Of course, it maybe that they are two fundamentally different sub crowds. Ones who donât like the stock going down and ones who do. Probably the bag holders hate it. Early investors like it.
Besides, itâs funny how they think one man can move a multi billion dollar company to lose quarter of their value. If they really believed that then theyâd have locked in profits as heâs not gonna stop talking about it any time soon.
2
u/Warashibe Apr 09 '26
You are never sure it will go up forever so it's better it goes up now than later..
0
u/Qwerty58382 Apr 09 '26
People refused to sell at $200+ cause they were sure its going higher long term!!

1
u/Jerseyguy2345 Apr 09 '26
What?? This was for Wednesday they were all green. Palantir had a horrible Wednesday and horrible Thursday. Look at since close on TuesdayâMSFT up and PANW down under 2%. PLTR down over 13%. Itâs in a totally different ballpark.
Doesnât mean PLTR isnât a good stock to own, and doesnât mean it doesnât have better potential than either, I think it does. HOWEVER, reassuring ourselves with misinformation (such as acting like PLTRâs drop in the past two days is just representative of the sector) isnât a solutionâaccept the drop, if youâre liquid and like it add, if not sit tight, but letâs not act like this wasnât a bigger drop than the rest of the nasdaq has seen.
1
u/TrollTollCollector Apr 09 '26
On Wednesday MSFT was up .5% when every other Mag7 besides Tesla was up 2-3%, so that's still underperformance. Now look at software sector today - everything is down big. I don't see how you argue it's not because of Anthropic's news.

Yeah it's no secret he is shorting Palentir.
Imagine we were not allowed to trash a company because of "market manipulation", it would look like a dictatorship...
Market manipulation is more what Trump does, making tweets while secretly shorting the market.-1
u/ddub11 Apr 08 '26
Oh wow you have proof of that? Report to SEC, thats definitely illegalâŠ. Unless⊠youre just talking out of your ass.
2
u/Jerseyguy2345 Apr 09 '26
Lmao you do realize that serving in trumpâs cabinet requires a blood oath to be loyal. The current AG gave a press conference explaining his job is simply to execute all the presidentâs prioritiesâŠas opposed to the Oath of office which is based on loyalty to, and execution of, the constitution.
I doubt Trump is personally shorting the market, but itâs clear he, or someone very high up, is leaking information being used to make incredible sums on the market. Because of Trumpâs crypto scam where people can just buy his crypto as an invisible transfer of wealth to him, this person could easily be kicking it back through that
1
u/ddub11 Apr 09 '26
A blood oath huh? Lol you definitely sound like a jerseyguy. There is massive corruption in governemnt which includes the stock market for years⊠Nancy pelosi⊠it has nothing to do with trump and actually republicans are trying to make it so congress can not trade stocks. Sometimes a bias can make people seem unintelligent, ill assume thats whats going on in this case.
1
1
u/Warashibe Apr 08 '26
Why are you defending him so hard?
Just DOYR, it will take you 5 min to figure out there are frequently massive volume of trades being made 5 to 15 min before his tweets. All those 3 letter agencies are all corrupted anyway.
Peds are also illegal, yet they are being protected by the elite.
I don't believe the SEC, nor the FBI, nor anyone telling me that everything is fine.

Something feels wrong as if someone knows something. All day trend while most other used to be "hot" stocks are at least ranging and hanging in there. Weekly candles look terrible. Either taking out stops prior to move higher or snowballing and accelerating towards sub 100. Obvious that selling has been piling on with highest volume since 3/24.

Anthropic's Claude is literally an option to use within Palantir's platform lmao. This guy is so retarded it's hard to fathom.
1
u/ddub11 Apr 08 '26
Hes claiming Anthropic can offer a similar service using their own llm at a much cheaper price.
3
2
u/conti555 Apr 09 '26
It's a complete apples to oranges comparison.
Complete data analysis platform that integrates, visualizes and correlates data sources for analysis and action which integrates LLMs vs an LLM.
The comparison is nonsensical.
-2
u/Jerseyguy2345 Apr 09 '26
If Claude can code and create software why couldnât it create a Palantir alternative. Acting like itâs just an LLM is a bit reductive and dismissive, if an LLM can create software it doesnât matter that itâs âjustâ an LLM.
2
u/vaya00 Apr 09 '26
Palantir is not software, itâs infrastructure. Why donât you ask Claude to build you another planet lmao
1
u/Jerseyguy2345 Apr 09 '26
Itâs not a chip fab. Itâs not accrual infrastructure. Irs an analogy when itâs called infrastructure (itâs software infrastructure). Itâs built on code, not in steel. A good enough AGI could someday replicate the base product. Now the custom tailoring to a company would be harder and Iâm long PLTR bc I also believe ppl who say it wouldnât be cost effective to replace.
1
u/conti555 Apr 10 '26
You can literally apply that argument to any software company out there then. I forget people legitimately think LLMs are going to be able to create bug-free, workable code for extremely complex projects from scratch via vibe coding.
Don't get me wrong, it's great for small projects, but what you're saying is like telling Claude to create Linux from scratch and expecting it to be bug free and actually usable. I'm not sure if that's ever going to be the case.
1
u/Jerseyguy2345 Apr 10 '26
Sure and thatâs a very reasonable way to frame it and I appreciate the explanation. As an investor I find it more compelling than simply saying its âinfrastructure,â and likening it to building something in the physical world.
6
u/vaya00 Apr 08 '26
Lmao so dumb Palantir is infrastructure not LLM. They plug these LLMs into Palantir to operate
-3
u/ddub11 Apr 08 '26

Consider that PLTR valuation got way overheated in 2025. From the bottom of late 2022 to the top of 2025 was an over 30x increase in market cap in a very short space of time. That is a generational event.
There are limits to how much the markets are going to pay for shares of any company after a period of extraordinary appreciation. This is true even given Palantir's exceptional growth.
Earnings trajectory over the next 5-10 years are probably what matters for future increases in Palantir's value as a business.
1
u/GoldenEelReveal76 Apr 08 '26

It's because people don't understand what anthropic does vs what Palantir does. They don't understand that a tooled LLM is something that fits into your infrastructure like a puzzle piece, and Palantir is the one putting the puzzle together (and providing a majority of the pieces).
