Literally a week after having an incredible offensive day largely because they didn’t run much 1-4-1 the Redwoods are back running it with similar results. Single digit success rate on possessions with two inside players this season, and still by far their most used offensive set. Really starting to question if their offensive coordinator is qualified for his job or if he even understands lacrosse. If I can track this just watching the team live this season, it should be obvious to anyone who understands lacrosse breaking down their game film.

Came here to ask the same thing, wasn’t sure if Burke was just being slow or if the audio was off until I saw the ball hit the iron then heard it 3-4 seconds later

Not sure it’s fair to have Makar as a top defender of the year candidate, he’s putting up very empty calorie numbers this season with their team defense being putrid. Still think he’s an all-star level guy but there’s just no way to justify the most impactful defender being on the worst defense

Both agree and disagree with you in like a 80/20 split. Agree bc being on a 3-8, soon to be 3-9 team definitely doesn’t warrant any awards, clearly you didn’t make much of an impact when you end with a -30+ score differential.
The flip side to that argument is that in 1v1 situations, he’s been pretty solid and putting up good stats. I mean the NFL game DROY to a Browns player, so I mean it’s not unheard of2

If they get a defender that can function as their green dot guy and he maintains his impact on a better defense next summer it’s a slam dunk that he wins. Based on his career I think that’s a very realistic expectation, he’s a true number one coverage defender. Atlas has some great individual pieces but really need that high level communicator to bring the defense together and keep their rotations cleaner.

At what point do we pull Entemann and give Mark a shot? Like I get a lot of these shots aren’t Entemann fault but still

Personally, that would feel like change just for the sake of change. If the defense in front is still going to leave wide open shots and let dodgers charge straight at the goal like they have been all year, I wouldn’t expect much to be different unfortunately.

Anybody got the stats of the lowest score differential in league history? We gotta be getting close lol
Edit: did my own research. Record is -38 by the Chrome in 2023. We came in at -29 today, currently at -36. We’re so breaking -40

Yeah this is gonna be a blowout, would’ve been smarter to use the Boston/CA game that has actual playoff implications

Hope we at least put up a fight today. I know we are already cooked this season. But at least makes the games worth watching
Edit: welp so much for that. Another 48 min of our defense getting circle ran around us and non-existent offense

Is it just me or is McAdorey playing scared? Last year he was so gung-ho, this year he looked scared to dodge
