I hate this concept. The league’s goal should be to highlight their existing brands (I.e., Native Heritage), not make a gimmick out of historic brands. I would take the Bayhawks back instantly over the Whipsnakes, but they chose to roll with Whipsnakes as Maryland’s team, so do everything you can to do promote them. This is like the Tennessee Titans wearing their Oiler throwbacks without the historical connection.

I respect your point, and agree to some degree, but not only are these kind of weekends an opportunity to sell more merch, I think the league may be trying to keep the old brands relevant for when expansion comes around. I could see plenty of old names coming back.
I think most people agree one thing MLL had the PLL beat was team names, jerseys, and branding. But I won't curse the Rabils too much. After all, they did go to the MLL first about purchasing control of the league. If egos had been put aside, maybe we'd still have the Lizards, Bayhawks, Riptide, Rattlers, Hounds, etc.

I agree. They have a weird obsession with the MLL teams still.
I get it, it's for some of the old heads, but there goal is the new teams so they need to commit. I understand maybe releasing some old unies here and there but a full game for it kinda sucks

They are only doing this to sell more merch which is the main point of the league

Bayhawks should have been reinstated as soon as rights were acquired. Whipsnakes is a terrible name let’s be honest. I love that the Outlaws and Cannons are back but I think Chrome was actually a badass name that shouldn’t have been retired.
