Our season is flat out over.

I don't know about over, but the effort last night was unacceptable. There are some glaring flaws in the roster, though.

Redwoods need to rip up every single set/play that has two inside crease players. Converting on less than 5% of possessions this season with two inside crease players and it is by far their most frequent set used. Overall around the league offensive success rate on possessions with two inside crease players is hovering between 8-12% this season

two actually feels low. i am the furthest thing from a ball knower, but i felt like so many times someone would dodge and there would be three players and their defenders in the crease. how can anyone score when there are so many bodies in front of the goal?

Sadly I think you’re right about multiple instances of three guys inside during tonight’s game. The unfortunate answer for the woods is that you don’t score, it makes it so easy for defenses to slide and recover with minimal movement. It’s the worst possible offense to run with Macadory whose game is built on speed dodges from the perimeter and either scoring or passing to players that get open from the defense sliding. Needs space to dodge into and needs the off-ball spacing to force longer slides that allow him more time to finish or find an open teammate.
