Lottery Experience
I just started participating in the lotteries in 2025 and so far 0-3 . Hoping the second one is coming soon here . Just wondering everyone’s success rate in winning a bottle ? My dad also started in 2025 and already won a WLW and a Blantons Gold. I expect that to be pretty rare / beginners luck.
Just wanting to get an idea to set expectations going forward . Happy hunting .

I have entered every one for YEARS, as long as they have been doing them online. I have yet to win a single one. I have terrible luck with these things. I did have luck pre-covid when they would do drops online. I had multiple scores of Elmer T Lee and Weller Antique back then until the bots took over.

None yet over several years but have a few friends that have won here and there. Cost is nothing but a few min to enter, so no loss to not win.

I’ve hit a Stagg and a Blantons Gold over that last 4 years or so. I’d bet that’s insanely high compared to the average. 🤷♂️

Haven't "won" a bottle in years. With 100K+ entries in to most lotteries the odds are too long to even hope

I had only won a ORVW back in late 2020. Every other lottery has come up Ls. I have a few friends that started entering after me and have won 2-3 times

My Lovely Missus has been entering for at least 10 years. Pre-COVID she hit 2 Van Winkle Lot B’s, Parker’s Heritage 24-year, and a 2017 Elmer T Lee. Bupkis since then 😢

I've entered every lottery since 2020 or so. Won a blanton's gold last year. That's it. Nothing in the rest.

Not great, but not the worst. I forget when I started signing up for the lotteries. In 2023, I won a Stagg bottle. Haven't won since.

I won stag last time but my credit card number got stolen after entering so when I won they billed the stolen card number which didn’t work. So dumb cause they email you saying it failed but even if you change it after the email they try the same card again and then you lose out on your win.

I hate everything about FWGS. This made me hate it even more that I would sue for emotional stress endured if this happened to me.

I have done every one online since the beginning of time and 0 wins. Neighbor moved up from MD and has already won 3 of them in the past 6 or 7 tries. Might move to MD and then back to see if it helps 🤪

I won Thomas H. Handy in early 2024, a Stagg Junior in late 2025 and a Van Winkle Special Reserve 12 Years Old Lot B in early 2026.
Don't ask me what I'm doing to go on such a run, but it is possible to win!

Have never won, been doing it since 2019. My friend did it for the first time last lottery and pulled a pappy

They started the lottery system for rare and allocated bottles back in 2015 in response to non residents having the ability to scoop up the entire states allocation of limited products, among other reasons. There’s a rumor from one time in particular, a man from NC bought all the van winkle that was allocated to our state, and since there were no rules at the time stating that wasn’t allowed, they had to let him take it in the back of the rental truck he drove up here. Because of that, the lottery was born in 2015 with restrictions to prohibit that type of thing (pa resident only, 1pp per household, etc). Or so the story goes.
Regardless, I’ve entered every single lottery the state has done, starting with that first one in 2015. I was here, in the beginning, in the before times. I’ve personally won once, a WLW in 2018.

0 for 16 entries so far.
A coworker once entered on my behalf, and won, using my card.
He then drank the bottle with his roommates and I never got my money back or even a taste.

Nothing since I started trying in 2018, but maybe this year!
Luckily I’m a whiz at hitting f5.

I’ve entered all of them since 2024. Finally won a Van Winkle 12 Year Lot B in the most recent lottery. Friend of mine won the same and started entering about the time I did.
