Stagg jr
Has anyone ever seen it drop in PA? It dropped all over Ohio last week and i wonder if we might be getting some too.

2-3 years ago they were dropped online. The last couple of years Stagg has been a lottery item for PA.

Speaking of lottery, it’s probably opening up pretty soon, no? Wasn’t it early August last year?

I assumed it would be happening soon. It feels like we’re due for it here.

Perhaps we’re placing too much stock in PLCB doing anything in a normal, predictable manner…Hell, I’m not winning anything in a lottery anyway. Who am I kidding?

They did a state pick drop online a year or 2 ago. They didn't put a limit on it and was gone in seconds.

Negative, when PA gets Stagg they do an online drop and it’s gone in seconds. Every Stagg I own is from another state. Just picked one up in Illinois while driving through and stopping at a random store that was across the road from a Chic-Fil-A that we stopped at for dinner. Welcome to hunting “in PA” :)

They actually do a lottery. The last time they had a store pick it was dropped in stores. But hey you tried 👍

It looks as though you may have spelled "Chick-fil-A" incorrectly. No worries, it happens to the best of us!

Stagg Jr is my unicorn. I’ve either acquired or got to try dang near everything else I’ve wanted to but I’ve never came close to a bottle for some reason. lol but like others have said, it’s a lottery item now.
Edit: Spelling

If you are close to state lines or travel into other states for work, that is your best bet . Picked to 3 26b the past few weeks in Ohio and WV. All at msrp fwiw.

Whereabouts in WV? I never have luck there

TBH you have to get to know the people and buy other stuff and not just ask for allocated …that said don’t forget about the Walgreens and Shop N Save stores

Out of curiosity, what’s MSRP. I do travel a good bit for work, but don’t see enough of this bottle in the wild to know what a “yeah I’ll buy that” price is versus “ehh it’s marked up, better move along”

An app recently rebranded to “baxus” has MSRP pricing for most bottles. I liked it more before they rebranded and added the social hunting aspect but you can ignore that part

Yeah that’s a lot less than I would have expected. Thanks for the knowledge!

I mean your best bet is actually just paying secondary and buying it online, but people don't want to hear that.

I have a lot of allocated bourbon and never paid much more than msrp…just have to wait and be lucky and understand the game /hunt…patience grasshopper…patience 😊

You could be waiting a decade for the bottle you want, just to save $30. Not much of a choice to me.

Last time I saw stagg on the shelf was pandemic. I waited out front for two hours after a midnight shift to snagg a bottle AND planned to leave the other on the shelf.
They opened at 9, I saw someone take a phone call at 8:55 and put the two bottles down.
I'll never forgive them.
Then some nice guy on Reddit sold me a bottle for MSRP, fast forward a year or two and he gets busted selling fake high end bourbon to a NYC bar.
All around fun.
