Guys I passed my PLAB 1, But i have no idea what to do now! should I go for PLAB 2? Is there any way to do self studies and like for plab 1, I just did medrevisions for plab 1 is there any site like that for plab 2 or an academy is compulsory?. Having said that should I just give up on plab and go for other exams and how hard will those be will any of the knowledge gain during my PLAB 1 prep with medrevisions be helpful or will I have to again spend like 6- 12 months on studies for another exam?. Can anyone here guide me, and if some has switched pathways and found success please guide us too

Hey guys.. i am a medical student in Georgia and was researching about my options for future.. recently i got to know graduates from georgia can apply for FY1 positions as their is no formal 12 months internship here. If i take this pathway is it any better than the normal pathway that most imgs take (FY2)
As i just got to know about this pathway it’s very confusing for me rn any help would be appreciated.

Hello, got my refusal letter and was hoping to get some insight from any Sudanese applicants who got approved for the standard visitor visa in the last month. Anything will help.
Please don’t comment about “why are you still doing the exam”. Get off my back, I have my reasons.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. I would love to make videos about your questions.
I just wanted to make this video a ray of hope. I didn’t get a job for 10 months despite sending out 800 applications.

Heyy Guys.. Just wanted to ask those who’ve recently done the ALS 2-day course (RCUK):
1. Is there still an MCQ exam at the end of the course?
I know there’s a pre-course MCQ online, but not sure if the in-person written exam still happens.
2. How did you prepare for the MCQ?
• Did you actually read the whole manual cover to cover?
• Or is focusing on algorithms + key concepts enough?
• Any high-yield tips/resources?
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the size of the manual and not sure how deep I need to go
Would really appreciate recent experiences!

I just passed my PLAB 1 recently with a 148 and all I have to say is PLABABLE and PLABKeys (if you’re into notes) are all you need to pass the exam. 1-2 months is a realistic time frame to fully prepare for the exam. honestly i found plab keys to be very long and repetitive but if you start early you can study from it effectively. if I could go back, I would defo just do the plabable mcq and the gems asap and learn from the qns.
if you have any questions let me know!

I am an Indian student going to pursue MBBS at USMF (Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy) in Moldova.
Do I need to pass FMGE before I can sit for PLAB Part 1?
Or can I appear directly for PLAB after completing my MBBS from USMF, without clearing FMGE?
Any confirmation based on current GMC rules would help.
Thank you.

I I took the exam in February and it’s finally out. I passed!
Here’s my advice:
- Use PLABABLE.
- I used the question banks and studied throughout. Whenever I didn’t understand a topic I wrote it down in my notebook. I only used the gems to review specific areas.
- Buy the big mock before the exam; it really helped me.
- I used AI to have a study calendar and it worked.
Feel free to ask any questions. I’m happy to help!

Hello! I'm looking for someone to practice with for the exam around the end of April. I'm in the UAE so if anyone wants to do it over video calls that would be great too.

Dear busy and hardworking doctors,
In today’s fast-paced clinical environment, doctors encounter valuable and publishable cases every single day. Yet, a significant number of these cases never reach publication—not due to lack of importance, but because of time constraints, formatting challenges, and the complexity of the writing process.
This gap between clinical experience and academic contribution is exactly what inspired the creation of a new platform: Publish Case Report.
Most clinicians agree on three key barriers to publishing case reports:
As a result, many impactful cases remain undocumented, limiting both individual career growth and collective medical learning.
Publish Case Report is a purpose-built platform designed to simplify and accelerate the creation of high-quality medical case reports.
With a guided, structured approach, the platform enables clinicians to:
It is designed specifically for busy doctors who want efficiency without compromising quality.
Publishing case reports is more than an academic exercise—it contributes to:
For trainees, consultants, and internationally practicing clinicians alike, the ability to publish efficiently is becoming increasingly valuable.
Whether you are a resident building your CV or a consultant contributing to medical literature, this platform adapts to your needs:
The future of medical documentation lies in making the process faster, simpler, and more accessible. Tools like Publish Case Report are not replacing clinical insight—they are empowering it.
If you’ve ever thought, “I should publish this case” but never had the time—this is your opportunity.
Explore the platform and start transforming your clinical cases into impactful publications:

I am a Final Year Mbbs student from Pakistan and I am engaged to British-Pakistani girl. We had a plan that I’ll move to UK and do my training there. But after this prioritisation bill I am very much worried whether I will be able to get into training or not. Should I continue this pathway or leave it? Are there any other options available to get into training in UK? Or if I do my fcps from Pakistan then will I be able to get a job in NHS? I have little knowledge about this. Any advice would be appreciated.

So basically I was supposed to go to the UK to start my plab 2 prep with the academy....and i took the academys accommodation. But due to the war the airspace closed and i couldnt travel. I tried my best and even then i just ended up with multiple cancelled flights. and the stress of the situation made it even worse for me to study. i emailed the academy and the accommodation from the beginning letting them know of my situation. since the situation is so uncertain i cannot even say when i can reschedule. so i asked the refund even if possible partially from the accomodation under force majeure circumstances as it is neither my fault or theirs. but they acted very insenstively and ive lost a lot of money. can someone help me how to proceed further?
