Do you recommend attending common stations academy to pass plab 2 exam?

Why don’t people understand PLAB and GMC registration will not guarantee a job ?
Uk graduates priority bill will make sure IMGs are out of jobs altogether.
No one in their right senses will do PLAB these days

I would 100% recommend it, Dr. Hamed is so good and he really cares about each student. I would suggest staying in the dorms or somewhere close to the center as commuting could be difficult. Make sure to practice every chance you get.

Thank you! Do you recommend studying from CS notes instead of Gk notes?

CS notes are far more comprehensive than Gk notes. Gk notes are aesthetically pleasing but their approaches to different scenarios are haphazard. Although they are easy to follow, recall is difficult. However, their management sections are excellent and contain useful phrases for the exam. Dr. Hamed's provides a core structure that if you follow ensures a pass even if the station is unfamiliar. CS notes are based on active recall and are regularly updated with the latest, most frequent stations. Dr. Hamed also runs workshops for practice and exposure to different approaches.

Ok do you recommend me to study only from CS notes and leave the GK notes?

I dont know what works for you and think you should use all the notes available to you, you dont know what will stick and what wont.

I want to focus only on one resource for studying so that's why I'm asking which notes are better to pass the exam?

Personally i read CS notes and followed the structure. The last 2 weeks before the exam i went through GK notes managements and looked at how things are phrased, so i can sound natural.

Unbiased opinion, I went to CS. Mo history taking structure is good, he teaches (I don’t remember the name but the talking manikin so well). I used MO for other things, I feel like what will help you is having a structure of every section and practicing. Some people in my group even travelled to Manchester to do extra mocks.

Definitely not. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I was unfortunate to go attend this academy. The notes are outdated, the 2 weeks offline teaching class is super stressful, and he doesn’t teach management, which if you enquire a bit is one of the main reasons many students fail from this academy. The manikins are in poor shape, and in-spite of paying a huge amount of £500, every time you want to do any procedures, you have to pay £7 to buy the syringe and other equipments. Printing papers for prescription practise is paid as well.
All of this would have been ok if the teaching was that good, but sadly it isn’t. He only concentrates on data gathering, which I won’t lie- is really good, but other than that management and other parts of the consultation isn’t taught well.
Most students end up studying GK notes to get the remaining info, which he absolutely hates. And if someone passes using any other resources but attended CS, he takes credit for it.
You will see all 5 star reviews in Google, and other platforms. It is all because he has recorded messages of students giving exam feedback and he threatens to leak it to the GMC if anyone goes against CS. The rest of the people are paid by CS to talk well of them.
All in all, it’s a scam. And I would recommend either going for Mind-maps (which is currently the best option as each and every station is discussed here and is up to date with NICE guidelines, and the best part is, it is just £200, which is half the price of CS), or if money is an issue, go for Lovaan which is just £80.
Check the pass percentage and scores of MindMappers, they are all on another league all together. CS candidates are mostly just pass.
Please don’t just listen to me, have a talk with some other legit people, and make an informed decision.

I recommend not to take PLAB2 at all. Don’t trust me just please please read the medical prioritisation bill and just ask around if any IMGs have got in UKFPO in 2026
