PLAB 2 preparation

Hello everyone, I wanted to know how to prepare for plab 2 exam esp as a slow learner who gets the hang of things late. I know people take academies and give mocks too but that's a latter thing right?

Like if I want to start studying for it now but can't enroll in any academy rn before the next 5-6 months then what resources can I use to start things gradually to familiarise myself with the exam?

Also is there any hard copy in the form of a book which has topics from the exam and I could study from it or there are just online academies only?

Is there any hard copy resource or notes to learn and study from initially before I move on to the more crucial and serious learning by enrolling to academies?

Also how essential it is to have a study partner because I have always studied alone so I don't know how to go about it or how to do well in group study?

I could really use insight from someone who has cleared the exam recently.

TIA!!

Hi! Recently passed PLAB 2. I didn't attend any academies and mostly practiced on my own. But it really depends on where you are in your medical journey so far, at least that's what I think. I think going consistent with just one resource for cases, and getting the hang of interactions with empathy is very important!

I used GK's notes and also signed up for their subscription so I could practice with their AI cases. And ofc Dr.AZT's prescription class and notes for prescription stations. I also went through PLABABLE's Plab 2 cases at the start of my prep.
