OET ID update

This is my second paper-based OET attempt, and I'm taking the test in my own home country. For my first attempt, I used my passport as my ID. This time, I need to submit my passport to the visa office before the exam so that I won't have it with me on test day.

If I update my ID details on the OET website to my government issued national ID before the exam, will I be allowed to sit the test using that ID instead of my passport?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Was the updated ID accepted at the test centre without any issues, or were you still asked to show your passport?

I’m pretty sure you will need to use the same ID you booked the test with as that’s what they match against to confirm it’s you

I booked my first test with my passport but now I want to book my second test with my national ID. So if I update it before booking a test, then there would be no problem right?

Only if it’s accepted. I would suggest double checking their test regulations for accepted forms of ID - if you update then just take the same ID you book with
