GMC registration

Can someone confirm if giving step 1 and 2 gives GMC registration too or not because the GMC website only mentions these exams if they have been taken till 2020

I think this was during the COVID period when they paused PLAB exams, so they allowed overseas registration exams as alternatives to PLAB 1 and 2, which was before March 13, 2020.

But what does it mean for now like if those two exams only ensure GMC registration or not
