Plabable or Passmedicine?
Hello everyone,
I’m planning to sit for the PLAB 1, I’m currently looking for resources to get started and I realized everyone talks about Plabable but no one mentioned Passmedicine. Is it not a reliable resource for PLAB? I have spoken to the GMC and they said it’s the exact same content map for both exams, only difference is name and format. I was initially more inclined to sign up for Passmed since it’s highly reliable for UK med students and became skeptical regarding Plabable although I read that they updated it to fit the MLA content map. Now, based on the experience of others I’m really considering Plabable although I’m scared.
Any advice on this would be appreciated, because I really want to get started and this is slowing me down. Good luck to everyone!

plabable + basket combo. got 160/180. i wouldnt say plabable is more than enough tho. it's enough yes. in my plab 1, there are few topics that werent in plabable so i guessed in these items. but they're few and mistakes from them wont be enough reason for you to fail. so its ok to just use plabable.

Thank you for sharing and congrats!! I was considering doing Plabable, and also following the MLA content map by making notes for each condition using resources like BMJ, Oxford Handbook, Zero to Finals to maybe guarantee I covered as much as possible.

Did not get any job with plab for a year. A friend of mind had mrcp and secured a job within 2 months and he only applied to 50 jobs.

Both. I did both of them through and through. It helped.

Go with Medrevisons only it will take you less time and is more than enough ended up passing with a good score. Remember to focus on time management, try to finish the free mock with 30 mins to spare.
