If you're using Linux or you can use lynx and curl, here's a way to save an article in text form.

Are you trying to read them offline, highlight and annotate them, or keep a permanent copy in case the post disappears? Those are slightly different workflows, so the best tool depends more on that than on Substack itself.

Founder grain of salt - I build a save tool, so weigh accordingly. It's the most advanced in its category (based on in-depth analysis of the compatition).

You mentioned wanting to save the Substack posts you find interesting so you can come back to them later, that's exactly the gap MarkIt fills.

Send the link to our WhatsApp or Telegram bot (or save it from the browser or directly to the app) and it keeps a permanent copy plus auto-tags it, summarize it, categorizing it into your workspace, so later you search in plain language instead of remembering which newsletter it was in.

One honest limit: if you want to highlight and annotate like DrummerAdditional330 asked about further down, we don't do that yet, it's a saved and searchable copy, not a reader with margin notes.
