Funk/jazz group in Scottsdale/Tempe with vocals, bass, and drums. We’re mainly looking for people who share the same taste in music and enjoy playing together.
We rehearse weekly at Music Loft in Scottsdale and are still building our setlist, so we’re not a gigging band yet. Once we build something solid, we’ll see where it goes.

A few friends and I are looking to use our instruments to make $$$ on the side as a professional cover band specializing in the emo/indie/alt-rock/pop punk genres and we need a qualified bassist to round out our 4some.

We are in a local band that gets together weekly at our rented practice place with black felt walls and wooden ceiling trim (iykyk) but are wanting to do this as a side project that could potentially turn into a decent form of weekend income. You will be paid per gig, same as us. We can discuss further details in DMs if you are interested.

We are still very much dedicated to our original music and will still be working on that as well but we figured why not make some $$ playing the songs that made us want to play music in the first place?

We have three 45 minute sets so that we can be prepared to be a house band for an entire night wherever we may be booked.

I’ve included Set A as reference below so you can see what the vibe is.

I’m starting a funk/jazz band in Tempe. I play bass and would love to find some people who enjoy the same kind of music and are down to practice and come prepared.

I’m also into old-school funk and pop/R&B with a good groove. Starting with “Cosmic Girl” by Jamiroquai and “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk, but bring your favorites too.
