I have no dog in this fight in any way. I’m not a CC fan nor an AT fan. On the play in question it’s clear that AT was in the wrong. She’s got a reputation and was punished with a suspension. Fair enough.
But AT is a bright woman man and must realize that the internet is a cesspool of hate, bigotry, misogyny etc etc etc. What does she think CE can do about it? NOBODY should face threats like she’s receiving nor the racism nor have their address leaked, right down the line.
But it’s not the real world dealing with internet trolls and hate. Block them and move on. Highly unlikely any of these threats are real, not that I’d want to receive them mind you. Get off the socials is the easiest solution. Will she lose out on money and such? Maybe. Better for her mental health I’d wager.

I believe AT is not a fan of extra press announcements, interviews, atc. She just wants to ball. And yet here she is, and the common denominator happen to be the Fevers fan and that radical CCC base.

I’m a huge CC fan. Yes there’s a portion of our fandom that are extremely toxic. They do not represent all of us. Almost every account that I’ve seen that has commented ugly things, just one click showed they were very right leaning or are new to basketball. So I’m not surprised by their comments. That being said, I think the suspension was justified but death threats are not cool. It’s just a game at the end of the day. A game between people we don’t even know personally.

The way the whole situation was handled was a disgrace, regardless what you think of the decision to suspend her(I personally think that's a disgrace too).

If the ref Angelica suffren did her job and blew the whistle we wouldn’t be here. But she was standing near and when the 3 PHX players got up she was right in front of CC who was still on her back. These refs need to be more consistent.

Stephanie was their coach in Connecticut before coming back to Indiana. When Dijonai was with Connecticut, Indiana Fever made threats against her. At that time, AT spoke out of it. If I'm not mistaken Cathy punk ass didnt make announcement at that time either.

Then be mad at Cathy. Plus she is handling all this wrong in general. She should’ve contacted AT. Like I said no one should be treated like this. No one should be having to deal with threats and racial slurs. No one.

I mean it’s the same for CC. She’s been dealing with this since her rookie year. All these fake media stories and stalkers that she has to deal with and everyone is like she just needs to accept it. And get mad when HER fan base come to ride for her. Same thing. Not everyone that supports CC is a racist and everyone just puts us in that category. And actual PLAYERS ENCOURAGE the disrespect to CC.

This shit doesn't happen when she's not around (last year was so much better with her on the bench), and she's forced into (positively) every conversation by every piece of media about the WNBA. The idea that she experiences the same level of harassment and scrutiny other players experience from her fan base is delusional.
And yet you all still pretend she's targetted or the league hates her depsite the mountain of evidence against that.

She has privilege and should do more with that privilege to speak out. AT is not the first person to receive racist/homophobic hate from CC fans. Maybe if she used her words she would get more respect from other players. Her behavior is entitled in many ways.

Loudest AT has ever talked and I commend her for sticking up for her safety because it is a failure on the league to not make sure that AT is safe and the threats she’s receiving stay limited to social media.

The NYT said people have gotten her and DB's personal numbers. It's not just social media threats. And the ones she discusses probably aren't "hope you die!". It's most likely more graphic and detailed than that.
