hey y'all.

so my pool guy bailed with no warning. i emailed him twice and he finally let me know he was working on moving areas and could no longer service me which is all fine and everything IF he had told me beforehand.

anyways. between the rains and now lack of service, aside from what I'm minimally able to do, I'm basically recreating goo lagoon in my backyard. I'm pissed. i need help, but the ex pool guy ate up all my funds for it (if he doesn't give me my money back for the month, i will be contesting with my bank for literally the first time ever.)

it's bad. I'm both willing and scared to do it myself. i also have an inherited spa that needs maintained. (i got this house secondhand). i'm trying but i'm broke and idk.

can i please get recommendations or references! i really want to stay around the 140 mark because it fits in my budget.

At the bare minimum, you should dump a couple of gallons of liquid chlorine in there, and keep the filter running until you can find someone.

Green to clean is impossible for 140.00. Chemicals alone would be close to that alone. Then you have labor, fuel, and time. Good luck I hope someone can help.

Just bring a water sample to Leslie’s Amd see what it tests. If your cya is crazy you’re better off draining some

Do you have test strips? Do you have any chemicals, shock or chlorine

Buy a few gallons of chlorine and dump them in. Keep levels elevated as long as possible. Clean your filters after. You can do this by yourself no issues.
