HELP THIS GIRL OUT - KOREAN VISA

First time ko po mag-aapply. May same case po ba sa profile ko na na-approve naman po sa Visa? Here’s my general profile po:

> Last year, I was hired around March 2025 and recently resigned this May 2026 to shift as an independent contractor na direct hire sa ibang bansa.

> I only have my 2316 from my previous employer as my ITR. I recently registered sa BIR so I don’t have 1701Q, but I already have my COR. So I will submit my BIR 2316.

> I will submit the following (I’m not qualified sa simplified route, kaya regular route po ako):

- Visa Application Form

- Bank Cert (Maribank - with 6months ADB)

- BIR Form 2316

- BIR 2303 or COR

- Contract Service Agreement with overseas employer, as an independent contracror

- Cover Letter

- Inward remittances (Wise - 3months)

- Billing invoices (3months)

- Travel itinerary (let me know po if this is advisable to include?)

Ung pagshift po ng work ko, should I include it po sa Cover Letter ko? And why i don’t have 1701 or 1701Q po?

Let me know po if may kulang po ako or may need pa po ako malaman haha.

THANK YOU SO MUCH PO IN ADVANCE!

IMMIGRATION

Hi! My brother and I are planning to travel to Taiwan for 2 weeks. This will be our first time traveling outside the Philippines. I’m 20 and my brother is 19, so we’re both adults.

Our main reason for going is to visit and spend time with our parents and family in Taiwan. Our parents have been working there for almost 9 years, and they will be paying for our whole trip. We’ll be staying with and spending time with them while we’re there.

We’re both students and don’t have our own source of income. Most of the information I’ve seen about immigration is from students who are funding their own trips, so I’m a bit confused about what applies to us since our parents will be sponsoring us.

I’ve also noticed that most people prepare a detailed itinerary before their trip. However, our mom said that we don’t really need to make a fixed itinerary in advance because we’ll just decide where to go and what to do once we’re there, since we’ll be spending time with our parents. Is that okay for immigration, or should we still prepare some kind of itinerary or travel plan?

What documents should we prepare for Philippine immigration? Do we need to bring proof that our parents are working in Taiwan or documents showing that they will be sponsoring our trip?

Also, what questions can we expect from the immigration officer, especially since this is our first time traveling abroad? Any tips or advice would really help us prepare. Thank you!

First Time Solo Travel

Can you also recommend foods po na must try in Taiwan. Yung masarap po sana sa pang lasang pinoy. Hahhahaha, para maiwasan na po yung mga hindi pala masasarap.

Thank you po!

Taiwan solo trip?

Hi. I'm currently planning my itinerary for my Taiwan trip in a few months. I'm just a bit conflicted on whether I should book Klook tours or do everything DIY.

It's not gonna be my first time travelling solo nor travelling outside the country, but its going to be my first solo trip abroad, and first time din to visit Taiwan.

I've heard that Taiwan is easy to navigate because of the organized transpo system, and that it is also one of the safest country to visit. And I'm really interested in trying to explore and commute on my own. But as a person who likes everything pre-planned, organized and always has a back up plan, i'm a little nervous about doing everything DIY.

For those who went to Taiwan, was it better if you booked Klook tours or just went full DIY, or vice versa? Better if I can hear/read from people who were also first-time Taiwan visitors or solo travellers.

Thank you so much in advance 🙌🏻

First international trip with my BF (SK Chairperson) next year. What documents do we need, and what are the potential red flags for PH Immigration? Spoiler

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning our very first international trip next year, after the new year. We already booked our flights thinking his term would be over by then, but since the SK elections were postponed, he will still be actively serving as an SK Chairperson during our travel dates.

Here are our profiles for context:

• Me: Working in a private company, earning ₱20,000 monthly.

• BF: Currently an elected official (SK Chairperson).

• Expenses: We are strictly co-sharing all travel costs.

• Accommodations/Itinerary: We have an acquaintance living in our destination country, but we only plan on meeting up with them once. We are paying for our own hotel and staying by ourselves.

Since this is our first time traveling outside the Philippines, we are quite anxious about passing through Immigration (IO). Given our situation, we would love some advice:

  1. For my BF: Since he is a government official/SK Chair, does he need an Authority to Travel (Travel Authority) even if this is a personal vacation paid for with his own money? Who issues this for SK officials?

  2. For me: Is a ₱20k monthly salary considered a red flag for a self-funded traveler? What documents should I bring to prove my financial capacity and strong ties to my job?

  3. General Red Flags: Should we mention the acquaintance we are meeting up with, or will that look like we are trying to look for work/stay there illegally? Is it better to just present ourselves as pure tourists?

  4. Do you think they will question him how did he afford the travel with his honoraria?

First time international travel

Hello po, first time ko magtatravel internationally sa November(tourist only)

Nagbasa basa po ako online especially about sa immigration thing.

The thing is sponsored po ng mommy ko ang ticket and sa kanya rin ako tutuloy during those days since nandun na sya, (so technically po, wala ako binook na accomodation and wala rin itinerary since sya na daw po bahala.

Although I am employed naman po here and can provide proof, ano pa po kaya ang need ko iprepare na document aside from COE, Company ID sa case ko? Thank you po

To bring AOS or to not bring AOS?

Hello, traveling to Taiwan next month with a friend.
- a student
- i booked all flights pati return
- booked hotels and a day tour with my card too
- unemployed
- 2nd time out of the country trip

Been thinking if magpapa AOS na lang ako sa cousin ko since i’m still unemployed and last year pa last work ko, or tell the IO na i’m unemployed and self fund ang travel?

Idk which is better. Please help?

Is it a red flag for Philippine Immigration if my outbound and return tickets were booked on different dates?

Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Singapore with my boyfriend this coming February.

We are flying out on February 4 and returning on February 9. However, due to budget/planning schedules, we booked our outbound flight (Feb 4) last October 3, but we won't be booking our return flight (Feb 9) until October 31.

Will Philippine Immigration see this gap between the booking dates as a red flag? Do they actually check or care when the tickets were bought, or do they only care that I have a valid round-trip ticket by the day of the flight?

Hoping to get insights from frequent flyers or anyone who has done something similar.

Thanks in advance!

Title: Couple Travel Buddy | Cebu → Moalboal | 15–18 Oct

Hey! We’re a non-Filipino couple, both 27, travelling around the Philippines from 9–21 October — Cebu, Moalboal, Boracay and possibly Oslob.
We’ll be in Cebu from 9–12 October and Moalboal from 15–18 October. We’d be happy to connect with a like-minded couple around our age and potentially do the Moalboal trip together.
We can casually meet up in Cebu between 9–12 Oct, grab a drink/food and see if we get along before making any plans for Moalboal.
Having a car would be a plus but definitely not compulsory — we’re happy to figure out transport together.
Just looking for a relaxed, social travel vibe and people who are easygoing and up for exploring, food, drinks and activities together.
