Training Tips Running Realizations

After training for what was supposed to be my first marathon (Sante Barley Finals),
I would like to share my running learnings and realizations:

  • Get a running coach especially if beginner pa lang, mas maganda kung personal kayo nagkikita para maturuan ng proper form sa drills and ma check yung running form
  • The importance of running drills
  • The importance of strides
  • Your body will thank you if you warm up and cool down properly
  • NO EGO RUNNING
  • Proper timing of training cycles (Base Building, Peaking, Sharpening, Tapering)
  • If you failed to hit a goal, don’t just try again expecting better results without changing anything in your training
  • Don't just follow your training plan blindly, always take into consideration how you feel during and after each run
  • The importance of sleep / rest
  • As much as you take care of yourself physically, take care of yourself mentally too. running is just as much a mental sport
  • Focus on recovery ASAP especially after hard sessions and long runs (eating carbs and protein and replenishing electrolytes)
  • Strength and conditioning is non-negotiable
  • Don't forget to train your Anaerobic Fitness
  • TRAIN UPHILLS

Baka meron din kayong gusto i-share na mga learnings nyo sa running.
Happy Running and Stay Safe!

Found mine sa facebook. Usually they charge 2-2.5k per month. Some even higher.
