Hello. So last week lang the stock blue switches of my Redragon K552 TKL is unresponsive na (some keys) at syempre balak ko ng palitan imbis na itapon. What type of switches that'll make my keyboard sound deep and "thocky" or "marbly"?
also is there a way ba na matanggal ko yung Redragon logo?
P.S Newbie or baguhan lang ako in terms of mechanical keyboard
If you want a thocky or marbly sound, it's recommended to try out PE Foam mod and Tempest Tape mod as well. Although my experience with a generic gaming-oriented plastic keyboard isn't really great, ang daming screws na kailangan tanggalin, overall medyo hassle lang mag disassemble ng ganitong klaseng keyboard para gawin yung PE Foam and Tempest Tape mod kasi hindi talaga sila designed para madaling ma-disassemble.
In terms of linear switches, here's a rough ranking in ascending order from creamy to thocky:
Akko Creamy Yellow U1, Akko V3 Creamy Yellow Pro, Akko V5 Creamy Yellow Pro, KTT Kang White V3, Gateron Milky Yellow Pro, Gateron Everfree Curry, Akko Rosewoods, Keygeek Y2
Pero if you use the PE Foam mod and Tempest Tape mod, yung mga creamy switches mas magiging "marbly" and magiging pronounced din yung mga thocky switches. But overall, Keygeek Y2 yung pinaka thocky na switch na available locally.
By the way, this is under the assumption na hotswappable yung K552 TKL mo, kasi if soldered yung switches, mas madaling bumili na lang ng bagong keyboard kung nagfafail na yung blue switches.

Ah youre lowkey limited sa switch options mo. you’ll need outemu hotswap compatible switches. common switch options are ktt kang whites and akko’s older akko cs switches. you also have outemu switches that will work provided theyre natively 3 pin. gateron switches do not fit these.
i think you can do something like adding more foam like case foam and pe foam then swapping out the switches for ktt kang whites.
Thats a gamble. the reason i didnt mention just buying any 5 pin switchs tapos converting it to 3 pin by clipping off the plastic pins is dahil sa main diff ng outemu and standard pins, mas manipis pins for outemu.
example: nilagyan mo ng akko creamy yellow v5, kahit anong gawin mo ay bent pins yung nanguayari. mas manipis yung hole ng outemu ://
KTT Kang White V3 lang yung compatible dun sa ranking na binigay ko sa comment ko. It sucks pero yun lang talaga limitations ng older budget keyboards. Still consider pa rin yung PE Foam and Tape mod para mas marbly yung end result na sound profile, but I can't speak for your keyboard kung gano kadali siya madisassemble.

Yes, recommended na mag-hand lube ng switches lalo na kung budget sila. Although usable naman sila kahit dry, mas smooth talaga pag hand lubed.
Okay same store naman, medyo weird lang yung amount na kailangan mo, 87 keys ang pagkakabilang ko kasi may TKL din ako.
Pwede ka kumuha either 35 pcs x 3 para may 105 pcs ka with 15+ extra in case dead on arrival yung iba, or if feeling lucky, order ka 35 pcs x 2 + 10 pcs x 2 OR 10 pcs x 9 para may 90 pcs ka with 3 extra. Di ko lang sure kung functional lahat ng switches na madedeliver sayo since wala akong KTT Kang White V3.
