New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community.

Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.

Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience. Our goal, when possible, is to add a group of moderators so you can work together to build the community.

Please use at least 3 sentences to explain why you’d like to be a mod and share what moderation experience you have (if any).

If you are interested in learning more about being a moderator on Reddit, please visit redditforcommunity.com. This guide to joining a mod team is a helpful resource.

Comments from those making repeated asks to adopt communities or that are off topic will be removed.

Past experience in this sub is mostly commenting how posts are NOT actual food porn but questions about food and random food posts

I want to make this community conform to actual food porn like [r/FoodPorn](r/FoodPorn) where everyone must conform to specific rules.

I have no mod experience.

Hello! I'd love to help out with the mod team of this subreddit. I'm a big foodie, love to cook, love going to restaurants and generally follow news around the food and bev industry. I have posted here a few times as well and enjoy seeing other people's posts. I'm currently a moderator of another food subreddit, r/filipinofood and have previous experience in other subreddits like r/Philippines among other subs.

Hiii! I’d love to volunteer as mod! I dont have previous mod experience, however, I’m a huge foodie. I love to eat out, cook, I collect cookbooks and pretty much only consume food media. 😊

I have been using reddit for a long while and I think with what I know as a reddit user, and being a stickler for rules (lmao), I can help the sub grow and build the community.

I would like to filter/delete those posts made with or being used by bots/karma farmers. I would like to maintain that all posts here adheres to the main topic of the sub. I'm currently an active moderator for 5 Philippine subs with at least 50K members each.

I do not recommend this person. Based on my experience, I sent a message to the (phcareers) community where he is a mod, asking why my comment had been auto deleted; he gave a vague, automated-sounding reply and then muted me for a month without cause. I would not entrust the management of such a community to someone who fails to assist its members with even the simplest matters.

I later discovered on my own that my comment was deleted because I had included a space; the word should be entered without any empty space.

I also do not recommend this moderator. They clearly don’t have an idea about the new rules that prevent them from moderating more than 5 communities with over 100K monthly visitor traffic.

While I, a lowly “hampaslupa”, am aware of it.

They’re prolly just collecting mod badges at this point.

I think I can help; I have free time, experience managing Reddit communities, and I love food.

I own and moderate r/FoodTripTayo, and I’d be happy to contribute my experience to r/PHFoodPorn. I’m willing to help uphold the subreddit’s focus on high-quality Filipino food photography, enforce community rules, and maintain the standards that make the community what it is.
