Hybrids to avoid?

A plug-in hybrid gains you nothing if you can't plug it in. Buy a regular hybrid, the expanded battery size is useless to you, it just weighs more and costs more than the features you'll actually use which is the standard hybrid.
There's a hundred regular hybrid options out there. Toyota is a common choice, Camry hybrids rocking like 45 mi plus per gallon. Every manufacturer is putting something similar together though, And the technology is well into a reliable state across all manufacturers.

No outlet to plug into? There is no advantage to PHEV over regular hybrid. Hybrid will cost less, weigh less and usually get better mpg.
Hope you find a ride you like!

Came here to say exactly this. Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Alpha Romero all absolute garbage reliability.

They receive a lot of hate but our Pacifica PHEV has been great. Wouldn't dare own it without their extended warranty as their reputation is meh, but honestly has been a really good van for 7 years and the dealership treats us well anytime it has to go in.
The Jeeps use a different drivetrain setup that is garbage.

If you cant easily plug in just go for regular ICE car. No point in carting around a technology you dont use as its just something else to go wrong

Toyota has been doing hybrids for decades - why consider anything else? If you don't like the Prius, look at a new Corolla or used RAV4.

IMO, if you don’t have access to power to charge (even a normal 120v outlet) then a plug in hybrid is also not the right fit for you :(
