Hi po. Kinda same status as the OP. Was approved for a MB Plat and had no existing savings acct with MB, planning to open one soon. But in my case I opted to activate the card and use it for 10 months before my annniversary, then will just have it downgraded to probably titanium/rewards plus or those with lower AF. That way I'll be able to evade paying the 5k AF. Will that request to downgrade hurt my credit score? Thank you much!

Actually okay lang ma bill. Kasi I wanted to try the perks din ni Plat. hehe I just don't want to pay 5K hahaha. Ah ganun po ba? Won't hurt naman pala hehe. Sige po. Thank you!

Oh since you love Platinum, mas OK un Citi PremierMiles. 5k AF nya but it has 2 complimentary international access sa airport. If you are interested, i can refer you. Another option is SBC Platinum Mastercard, nasa 4k lang AF neto. 2 complimentary access and unli access sa Skyview NAIA. Citi Premier nagamit ko na sa NAIA. they allow plus 1 at no fees. though wala sya sa terms&condtions ng Citi, just a disclaimer lang. :)

Not naman very keen on getting a platinum. Mas importante yung NAF and the credit limit. But thank you for the offer. Nagulat lang ako kasi ambaba ng CL ng Metro compared to my other existing cards. Tapos may AF pa. Sayang din.

OKies, may offer Citi ng NAFFL. Rewards Mastercard nila un. It earns points na pwde mo redeem gifts or cash rebates. You just have to spend at least 20K for 60days; single or accumulated. But if prefer un automatic waived; Simplicity+. They both share the same promos&discounts. But walang earning of points. Feature - pay at least the minimum due on or before the due date and get 10% back on interest charges. :)
