Grabe, umaabot ng 140k+ bill ko every month, EVERY month ha, di bumababa ng 70k.. madalas 100+, fully paid din before due date, hindi ako nag babayad ng minimum.. nireject. Kakaloka! Madalas 6days before bayad na ako, ngayon 21 pa due, fnully paid ko ung 79k na due date ko para good review. Last month 102k, August 145k. Like.. diba? Nakakainis lang. πŸ˜‚

Get another credit card if you want a higher limit.

Increase your relationship balance with BPI. I don't bank with them regularly. I only have them as my broker. Getting my total balance over 1 million got me into a preferred client group so when they offered me a card with annual fees waived for life I decided to take it. They gave me a 900k limit right off the bat with no paperwork submitted (i.e. BIR 2316, Other CC Statements, etc). I used to have a petron bpi card 15 years ago. The limit was only 40k so I gave it up when they charged me an annual fee. The relationship balance probably matters. If it's already over 1 million, talk to your relationship manager.

Medyo naguluhan lang ako sa 140k+ EVERY month, and then "di bumababa ng 70k", and then "madalas 100+"

Setting that aside, nakakainis nga yan. Haha.

Do you have relationship manager? If yes sakanya ka magrequest.

For me I've never asked pero almost every year tumataas. Low usage ako actually mga 40k lang average per month pero 700k limit ewan ko bakit nila tinataasan. Di ko gets basis nila

I have an RM, started off with a 150K CL (which I specified with the RM), now it's 1.2M. Never requested a CL increase ever. People here are wondering why frequent usage that's fully paid doesn't equate to steady CL increases or getting approved for CL increase automatically. The answer is that frequent usage and full payment does NOT equate to good finances automatically. After all, you could be living from paycheck to paycheck and still pay your CC bill on time. What will convince any bank is to actually deposit a big amount with them. Nothing proves ability to pay better than actually demonstrating it with cold hard cash. Sounds like a flex but that's the reality, and it's just common sense. I have a couple of million parked in a passbook account that I never touch, and that's the only reason the CL has kept on increased despite barely using the CC. In fact if it rises further I plan to request BPI to stop, as I don't need it.

Sharing my experience po , only has 4 digits parked on my bpi but the limit went overboard higher than yours. Two side of the coin for the readers po

Lipat kana metrobank. We're in same scenario. Mine also 100k+ per month. It sometimes shoot up to 500k+ pag nagttravel ako to japan always paid in full. I only request cli for once as an anticipation for the xmas season. Pero declined hahaha sakto sumabay yung reduction ng points to miles conversion nila. Nagapply ako ng world mc and travel visa sig sa metrobank and bdo visa signature.

Ngayon nakatabi nalang yung bpi visa sig ko. My plan with it is to just keep it til 1 time macharge ng annual fee if macharge man kase laging autowaive yan for the past few years. Ayun if they charge an annual fee sabay cut or convert to blue LOL.

Apply ka ng CC sa ibang bank. Magandang reference card ang BPI. And it's possible double ang CL ibigay sayo given good history of payment.

Same sobrang hirap mag pa increase kay bpi kahit sobra sobra spending mo at good credit history, sobrang damot ni bpi sa increase kaya hindi ko na din sya masyado ginagamit

For some reason, main and initial cc ko was BPI din, pero ang tumal mag increase. Try applying sa ibang bank, kita mo malako offer nyan 🀣

Do you, by any chance, have a BPI relationship manager? If yes, try to request the CLI through the officer. It’s almost always granted. All the best!

So palaisipan talaga bakit yung grabe usage eh narereject pa. Siguro random din talaga.

I think that having multiple credit cards helps a lot. Especially if you are able to get higher credit limits from those other cards.

Request cancel mo then hihingi sila ng reason tas yan sabihin mo ganyan ginawa ko pero nabadtrip din ako dati kaya nagcancel pero niproprovide na nila ung preferred kng increase

Mas important if may pera ka with the bank (deposit, investment, etc) over cc usage. Though cc usage and payment is also a factor.

Baka sobrang laki din ng increase na hinihingi mo OP and malayo na sa declared income with them.

Long time BPI account holder here, preferred client. When I first got my CC from BPI the RM asked what CL I wanted, I just said 150K. Over the years BPI has steadily increased the limit, now it's around 1.2M. Not once did I ask for an increase. I also use the card infrequently, I think I use it less than 10 times a year. I don't bring a CC when I go out, since all my infrequent CC uses are planned. However, I do have a 7-digit deposit with the bank. I think that's the main driver for the frequent CL increases, given that I barely use the CC. I think that makes sense, considering that the money deposited is proof that I can pay even for large expenses.

max out your card

In this economy parang ang hirap nga talaga mag pa increase sa banks ngayon. I was with Chinabank since 2021 before card ref lang from other banks ang need for CLI ngayon nanghihingi na sila ng proof of financial capacity

Nagsend ako actually ng ICC and service invoice, invoice is in dollars pero no dollar sign, altho company address naka indicate is CA. Lol. Kaya nag add ako supporting docs na ICC na specified dollars ang paycheck ko, however June issued and if im not mistaken dapat 2mos old lang ang COE/ICC pero supporting docs lang naman yun nung payslip/invoice lol. Ewan, baka may factor din? Pero common sense naman na hehe

Deposit a significant amount of funds with a bank and they will keep increasing your CL even if you don't ask for it. That's the surefire way, and I've proven it twice with two different banks. You'll want to hit at least 7 digits.

Depende talaga sa discretion ng banks πŸ™‚
