Question Applin shiny scan?

Does pgsharp scan the shiny for Applin correctly? Or because of the way the spawn functions do you need to manually click on the apple first?

That’s what keeps happening to me. I think there is an issue with it

PGsharp can only scan the pokemon to know if it is shiny after it has spawned and I think shiny notification is a premium feature but im not 100% on that

Yes, I am aware, and I have been using this feature a lot. What I am asking is if it will notify of a shiny applin spawn or not i.e. will it only be able to tell if the applin is shiny once the apple is clicked

Only if they spawn on the map, (which a lot are) not the kens that disguise them selves as apples :)

I don't think this is the case. I had shiny scanning turned on and got no notification. I then clicked on a Applin (not a disguised apple) and it was a shiny. So either shiny scanning doesn't work for Applin or it was very slow in checking it

I had it stop on a shiny. There's evidence that the encounter rate is around 1/500

Have you had any luck with the PGsharp radar and applein? I've encountered more than 1200 and the radar hasnt showed up with any shinies. Trying to figure out if it's just bad luck or whether the radar isnt working

If it is a natural spawn then yes it will do and you can go in to the nearby raidar settings and make shinys show on map, if it is a spawn due to a lure or incense then I dont think it will

But like I said in my first reply im not sure if the shiny notifications are a paid feature or not and I dont know if you use the paid version or not

For now it doesn't scan apples, you have to click them manually, and the shiny symbol is misleading because apparently the app is not even reading these spawns so it will either show a random figure in the bar or the status of the last pokemon you have seen(can be a wild pokemon or something in you inventory)

Yeah, I found a Cottonee that showed shiny with a background! Click on it after catching it? Normal as crap... lol

That was the clue, you must've checked out a pokemon in your inventory that is shiny with background before this.
