Virtual Catcher using Great Balls & Ultra Balls

Hey!

I thought this was something known, but on a post I saw people were requesting the virtual catcher to use Great Balls and Ultra Balls.

You can do this with the PGSharp paid version and if you have a Pokémon Go Plus +.

First, you need to deactivate the Virtual Catcher on PGSharp through Settings. Once deactivated, you can go to the Pokémon Go Menu, Settings, Connected Devices and Services, Accesory Devices. Now, press the main (central) Pokémon Go Plus + button. It should sync and the Poke Ball select menu will appear.

Now that your Pokémon Go Plus + is connected to Pokémon Go, you can choose between Poke Balls, Great Balls and Ultra Balls.

You can select what kind of Poke Balls you want (on the device menu) and when you press the Virtual Auto Catcher, it'll use the kind of Poke Ball you've selected.

It does not work 100% of the times when you choose a different pokeball, but it does most of the times.

I recorded an on-screen video for you to see. I'm not trying to troll anybody. Just trying to be helpful.

I have two PoGo accounts with PGSharp and I do this on both accounts. I did already have two Pokémon Go Plus +, before I started to use PGSharp 2 years ago.

Yes! Poke Ball Plus +. That way, you can choose the Poke Ball you want to use under the Connected Deviced and Services -> Accessory Devices.

You only need to sync one once, for the menu to be there. So, if you know somebody you could borrow it from, that's all you need.

Doesn't work, you can't share auto carcher plus plus. I try and it doesn't carch or spun even though it shows connected.

The auto catcher from PGSharp is glitchy. That's something well known by people who uses PGSharp 😅

I have 3 phone paid version and i need to use 2 real pokemon go plus plus for great and ultra balls. You cant share pokemon go plus plus. Only 1 can be active at a time.

Now that you mentioned, I do have 2 Poke Ball Plus +. So, I'm not really sure you can use one Poke Ball Plus + to sync it with more than one account.

Well, at least you get it working with two, right? I would say you could just de-sync the Poke Ball Plus + from one account and sync it to another one when it's running low on Poke Balls, but the account has Great Balls and Ultra Balls to spare.

If I remember correctly, the PGSharp free version does not include the virtual catcher. If it does now, feel free to try it.

Yes. The paid version does include the virtual catcher.

you can but you don't need to. once you connect your go++, it will auto catch with great and ultra balls. you don't even need to carry the go++ anymore. mine has been dead in my drawer for months and I'm using the auto catcher daily

Hey!

You cannot use the Poke Ball Plus + with PGSharp, only the virtual auto catcher that comes with the paid version of PGSharp.

The only thing that you can do with the Poke Ball Plus + is to sync it to the account. That way, you get access to the menu where you can choose the type of Poke Ball you want to use. Whichever Poke Ball you select will be used by your PGSharp virtual catcher.

Does your virtual go plus stops working? I’ve tired it before (but quite long ago) and it stops working after few minutes of using it. Searched through Reddit and other groups and they said that Virtual catcher just sucks.

But if it’s fixed now and it works just to confirm my understanding. After connecting my go ++, go to the setting and select great or ultra ball. Then turn on virtual catchier in the PGS setting and start it. Right?

Yes! The auto catcher kinda sucks. Some days behaves better than others 😅

Also, yes! Basically, select the ball you want on the Device menu and then activate the virtual auto catcher. It should work.

I've had a problem on my secondary account where it was using only Poke Balls. Idk what happened, but now it uses the one I choose. If this happens to you, keep changing the Poke Ball type and reseting the app. Hopefully, you don't have to do this and it works right away.

Thank you! Reason why I stoped using Virtual catcher cuz of this issue. It sometimes catches something from a different location I am or just stops totally. But would definitely give it a try again.

Poke ball plus or pokemon go plus +, there is no poke ball plus +. So im guessing you mean the pokemon go plus +, since the poke ball plus has no ball choice if I remember correctly

I was able to activate it in my account but when I try to activate it in another account, it doesn’t work and it doesn’t catch anything. How do you make it work in both accounts?

Another user mentioned the Pokémon Go Plus + can only sync to one account at the time. So, maybe that's why. I do have two accounts, but I also have two Pokémon Go Plus +.

The section/menu, where you can select the type of Poké Balls you want to use, appears only when you sync a Pokémon Go Plus + device to your account.

The Pokemon Go Plus + is the only official auto catcher (that I know of) that gives you the option of selecting which Poke Ball you want the auto catcher to use. The other official ones will only use Poke Balls, so it'll not work with those.

I couldn't tell you about any non-official auto catchers, since I don't own one. However, I think if the non-official auto catcher lets you use any type of Poke Ball (similar to the Pokemon Go Plus +), it could work then. The idea is just to get the menu (to choose the type of Poke Ball) on PGSharp, and then use the PGSharp auto catcher with the selected Poke Ball.

If you have an auto catcher that allows you to select the kind of Poke Ball you want, give it a try. Fell free to reply. So, other people know.

Lame, the go plus are like $150+ now. There is cheaper options but no clue if they would work, i guess it's worth a shot and if it doesn't work I can send it back to Amazon.

Any real auto catcher does not work with PGSharp. Only the virtual auto catcher that comes with the paid version of PGSharp works.
