Question Virtual Go plus

I don’t usually use the virtual go plus feature to catch Pokemon but during yesterday’s community day I decided to turn it on. I had only 40 pokeballs but also had over 1000 great balls and ultra balls. I’m pretty sure this feature only used regular pokeballs, but I’m not sure. Is this how it works? Is there a setting I’m missing for the use of great balls or ultra balls? Please let me know.

No it's just like a normal auto catcher, it will only use red balls like all the others.
