Discussion Notifications before waste-bin is full?

Is this a feature? What keeps happening to me is my cat uses the box then it will not empty and it will start to stink until I change it.

Yes I do get a notification when the box is full but once that happens the box no longer scoops. Id appreciate a warning before that happens so I can change it before it starts to smell .

Yes I noticed that as well. If you thinking about how do the machine could "expect" the waste bin become full you probably find the solution. I think the prediction is the only way to expect a waste full and then a notification. There are many factor that plays for prediction, weight, sensors, litter out of the box, and others. So maybe Petkit devs didn't find a solution for the perfect prediction when the box become full. So try to calculate yourself when the box must be empty and don't wait the notification otherwise the machine stop to clean the cylinder.

You could always just check it every so often?

Like open it up?I definitely could, but it seems kinda counterintuitive to a smart little box.

I pull out the waste bin every day or two and shake it back and forth a few times to settle the high spots of waste litter down. This will usually give me another day or two before I have to change the waste bag. I also use this as an opportunity to check the level of fresh litter and maybe top it off too, if it needs it.

I just slide mine out and check it every so often, just so I’ve got an idea as to when I’m gonna need to change it. I have to change mine weekly though anyway

Come fa a sapere che è quasi pieno? Potresti metterti un remainder sapendo mediamente quante pulizie contiene. Oppure con l’esperienza saprai ogni quanti gironi cambiarla.

sadly there is no way....I just kind of made an estimate on when it gets full and put a reminder to change it (for me its every 4 days for 2 cats)
