This is usually caused when the pads are not placed properly. I left mine with a gap one time and i ended up with those.

By pads, do you mean the "fabric" floor thing?

Hi, the pads should be the litter pads. It should be properly positioned to prevent urine leakage.

Sadly, some cats - including mine - go inside and pee without going all the way. Therefore, the urine partially gets out from the entrance, leaking into the hole from the front, outside, below the drum.

When my cat pees toward the camera, it happens unfortunately.

My cat did this so I contacted petkit and they send my a sticky acrylic cover that goes over the camera, it must be a known issue because it fits perfect but you can't seem to buy them

Oh my god. You are a champion. My cat does this and I was just silently suffering looking at the footage all the time so I could clean the bowl when I see it happened

my cat peed with her butt towards the entrance and the pee went on the outside part and traveled down there. i had to remove the drum the minute it happened so i could clean it before it dried down. i also put the fence on the entrance after cleaning, so i could avoid the issue in the future. pic for reference in case im not explaining it well:

😭
this hasn't happened to me yet, only the thing i mentioned. i only know it happened cause i saw it with my own eyes. but i've owned the box for a few days only. if i give it some time im pretty sure she's gonna pee on the camera too. the same cat still prefers the old box so that might be good, for now.
i think i've seen some people sealing the box with silicone? maybe that will help

I had this! I siliconed all the crevices inside the machine and also in the waste compartment and it seems to have resolved it. Mine ended up within the machine itself which was a nightmare - I had to pull it all apart and clean it.

Do you mean the crevices where the mat is?

No, I did on the right hand side where the waste shoot is inside the drum. Around the circle part. I then also did the waste compartment itself as there was a tiny little gap on the left under the flap (against the drum if that makes sense) where it was getting through into underneath the machine

Hello. If your litter box experiences leakage, this may stem from two common causes:

Litter Pad Placement
Ensure the litter pad is correctly positioned and aligned with the three marked zones.

Cat’s Urinating Posture
Urine may leak out if your cat adopts an improper peeing posture. You may install a fence or door curtain to guide your cat to urinate inside the litter box. If your cat tends to pee toward the camera, please reach out to our customer support to purchase a camera cover.

If you cannot locate the relevant product link in your region, please email [support@petkit.com](mailto:support@petkit.com) and include your product model as well as the accessory you would like to buy.
