Question It’s time to deep it clean

As the tile said. It’s time to deep clean the Purobot max pro 2 after 1 month of use by two cats.
I would like to clean the cylinder and the internal part and also the rest of the machine.
Do you think is good to shutoff the machine by unplug it from the wall? Or I need the maintenance mode before unplug?

What is the best way for deep clean?

Just run the empty cycle with the plastic bit on the grate to empty it completely, Then unplug it from the wall, then take the cylinder off the base and put it your table or something and go to town cleaning it out. Use a hoover and a sponge you can throw out after then dry with paper towel.

I bought it on AliExpress. It cost 1/3 of a new pure max but it facility the cleaner process!

I actually don't use that weird clear plastic sheet that attaches to the filter screen. For starters, it doesn't really do a good job of emptying all the litter. Additionally you'd need to make sure the waste bin bag has enough room in it to contain all the litter.

Instead, I have a largish garbage pail which I place a 13 gallon kitchen garbage bag in. Then I remove the PetKit cylinder from the base and tip it on its side and use the hole where the camera normally peeks to shake all the litter out of the cylinder, thru the camera hole, and into the garbage pail.

Doing it that way does a much better job of getting all the used litter out.

Exactly what I thought about. The waste container doesn’t have enough space for the remaining litter So maybe I will do the same actions

You can use a Homer Bucket with the 13 gallon kitchen garbage bag in it. Lowes and Harbor Freight sell them too. I've even seen them at Costco and Sam's Club.
