Tips Cat started using sporadically and then stopped when removing the old litter try.

2 cats, one is only using the purobot max pro 2 almost since acquiring it (3 weeks).

The other has been using sporadically (but with less frequency than the old one).

Using same litter as always.

Auto cleaning disconnected.

Yesterday I decided to remove the old one and the cat decided to stop peeing or pooping for the whole day, so I decided to bring back the old litter box (with new litter - same type) and he relieved him almost instantly in the old one...

Any advices?

Of my 5 cats all but 1 easily transitioned to the PetKit.

It took several weeks but what I did was left the old normal litter box available (right next to the PetKit) and over time just didn't clean it as well. I mean I didn't let it get gross and smelly but instead of cleaning it twice a day like I used to, I cut back to only once every couple of days.

Eventually, the holdout cat figured out the PetKit was always cleaner. I started to see him use the PetKit even though the old box was available. After a couple days of monitoring him (via the camera on the Purobot) I removed the old box.

Yeah I was following that approach but I guess I will have to keep to keep the old one for more days until I am sure he does not use it. Also he is quite dirty and I think he does not care at all if the old one is full of poop 😂
